Too Late

I made him happy for a while

Michelle's POV
Finally we are hanging out, we decided to first go to a nearby bookstore since Oscar wanted to buy the latest book of his favourite writer. After he bought it, we went to a mall and went shopping. "Where should we shop first?" Oscar asked. "You choose" i replied. He finally isn't being mean to me. "Come buy a watch with me, mine stopped working and the strap broke" he said. I nodded and we went.

"So whats youe favourite movie?" I asked. "Secret" he replied. "Hmph" i said with a sarcastic angry face. "How about food?" I asked. "Cookies. You already know that" he said. I mean true, i do know that already. "Why dont I ask you questions this time. Whats your favourite food?" Oscar said. "Has to be either cakes or chocolate" i replied. "Those are too much sweets" he replied. "Well cookies are sweet too" i said. "Not wheat cookies" he replied. This guy eats wheat cookies?! Doesnt that taste like so bland? We got to the watch shop and he looked for a watch he thinks looks good on him. He bought the new watch he wanted and we went out of the watch shop. "Where next?" He asked. "Lets go buy food" i said. "Ok" he said.

Oscar's POV
We got to a small food stall. "What do you want?" Michelle asked. I looked at the menu. "Ill go with a burger" i said. "Okay!" she replied. Her smile is cute, how come i never noticed. We got to the counter. "Hi! Can we get 1 burger and 1 large fries, a hotdog in a bun" Michelle said to the worker. "Okay please step aside as you wait for your order" the worker said. "Okay" Michelle replied. I gave the worker my money. Michelle looks like she was so happy that i was treating her food. "Uhm sir. Your payment isnt enough" the worker said. Michelle looked at me confused. "Yes i know, im paying for my burger, she is paying for hers" i told the worker. Michelle did a sarcastic sad expression then she payed her food. We stepped aside and she looked cute when shes angry. After awhile they gave our food and we ate it while walking.

She wasnt saying a word to me. She must be angry, haha. But i dont know why its so quite without her saying a word. So un usual. I decided to start a conversation with her to lessen the akwardness. "Where next?" I asked. "I dont know... Maybe lets go have a walk outside the mall or go to a nearby park?" She said. "Lets walk talk" i replied. "Okay" she said.

"Should I tell you something funny?" She asked. "Sure" i replied. Its probably a lame joke. "So this one time Silver and I where hanging out in the nearby woods. And when we heared something scary we started running. Then she slipped on the mud and she fell on the mud flat face first" Michelle said. I kinda wanna laugh but feel bad too. Im trying to hold my laughter because i can imagine Silver's face full of mud. "Your smiling?! This is the first time you smiled at me in a long time!" Michelle said. "I wasnt" i replied making my smile into a serious face. "I saw that! You smiled at me!" She said happily. "I wasnt smiling at you. I was smiling at your story" i said. "So you admit you smiled!" She shouts. "Ok fine i did" i replied and we both laughed. We continued walking.

I wanna tell her about me noticing her following me around the school campus often. "Should I tell you something that you may not want to hear?" I asked. She turned to me nervous. "If its about you ready to reject me then dont say it!" She shouts covering her ears with both hands holding her fries and hotdog in a bun. I grabbed her hand and placed it slowly down. "You already know that, silly. I already rejected you remember?" I said. And her face flushed. "Right... Right.. Sorry" she said. Did i make her sad? Dont really care. To be honest i only hangout with her today so she can stop following me everywhere at school. "So, i know that you have beeb following me evergwhere in school, i always see your hiding spots" i said. She was shocked. "I-im not following you! M-maybe your the one following me!" she shouts. "Yea, ok totally couldnt hear your conversations with silver" i said. "Im sorry" she said. She didnt argue? Thats new.

As a dog come near us looking hungry looking at us. I see Michelle giving her hotdog to it. I didnt know she was kind? Usually she is a lame clumsy girl. But i havent seen this sweet side of hers. Maybe i should hangout with her more often and see her true colors. We continued walking. Maybe theres so much things i dont know about her yet.

We sat on a nearby bench. "Who is the girl you always hangout with?" She asked. "Oh you mean Penny? She's a good friend of mine" i replied. She is jealous isn't she? After we sat for a few minutes we continued walking. "Its getting late, we should get home" i said. "Oh ok.. See you at school tomorrow Oscar!" Michelle said. I waved and walked away. Not bad for a lame clumsy girl.

- Next day -

Michelle's POV
I walked in our classroom. I sat on my seat and saw Silver sleeping, as usual. I woke her up by shaking her. She looked at me with tired eyes. "Silver! guess what?!" I said. "What? This better be good, you woke me up from my sleep!" she shouts. "When me and Oscar hangout yesturday, I told him a story and he smiled! At me for the first time in a long time! And we even laughed together!" I said. "Thats like... Normal for friends" Silver said still sleepy. "But not for me and Oscar! He never smiles at me or laugh with me" i said. "I think he did laugh with you one time. When you confessed?" Silver said. "Well that was him laughing at me. This time we laughed together!" I said. "Okay good for you great achievement" Silver said sarcasticly. "What story did you tell him by the way?" Silver asked. "Uhm... That time you fell flat on your face on mud..?" I said nervously. "YOU WHAT?!" Silver shouts. I started running and Silver is chasing me with a shoe on her hand. Oh no im done for. "But atleast I made Oscar happy for a few seconds!" I shout so loud Silver must have heared it. "Ill get you!" Silver shouts. I made him happy for a while.
