The sensation of the hands sliding along his back.

His father's disgust gaze.

His dismissive voice telling him words that no child should hear from his parents.

The perverse words of a faceless man.

The sensation of suffocation.

To be trapped.

Felix awoke with a startle. His panicked mind didn't immediately realize where he was as he struggled to get out of the blankets that were blocking him in bed. It was finally when he sat down, stripped of all what hindered his movements, that he realized that he was in his room.

The young omega took his time to breathe deeply, trying to calm his mind. He bent feverishly to light his bedside lamp.

The light revealed the room that had been his for two weeks now. The white and pink tones of the walls reassured Felix, helping him to soothe his mind. He rubbed his eyes, glancing at his alarm clock which indicated that it was almost 3:00 a.m.

The young man sighed, knowing well that he wouldn't sleep again after this nightmare, just as the nights before it. It had been almost a month and a half since he had definitively left his prison. However, nightmares hadn't abated. Always real, always so distressing.

The omega rose, legs still a little feverish. He needed to get out of that room, memories were too present in his mind to be at ease right now. He took a jacket lying beside the wardrobe, before gently opening the door to his room. He held his breath, praying silently that no squeak might be heard. Minho, who lived in the room adjacent to his, was a heavy sleeper. However, this wasn't the case for Chan, who was at the end of the corridor. The leader already had sleep problems, Felix didn't want to wake him by making noise.

Fortunately for the sleep of his pack mates, the door produced no sound. He went out quietly, walking on tiptoes, until finally reaching the ground floor. He pressed his hands together, trying to calm the tremor. The anguish and nausea that his nightmare had caused were still present, putting his tired body to a severe test.

Felix looked around nervously before finally choosing to go out on the porch. He desperately needed fresh air.

His bare feet froze in an instant, on contact with the concrete. Felix pressed his jacket a little tighter against him, repressing a chill at the negative temperature. He turned on the outside light before slowly approaching the swing which lay further away. He settled cautiously, bringing his legs against him in the hope of retaining some warmth.

At least now he trembled because of the cold, and not because of his anxieties anymore.

He let his thoughts wander, trying to focus on joyful feelings rather than disastrous memories. He thought about the afternoon he had spent with Hyunjin, baking cookies. They had laughed to tears when they made them. They then ate some with Seungmin and Changbin at snack time.

His mind slipped towards Changbin. The alpha was so kind to him. It changed everything he had known before.

He startled when the front door opened again, revealing the man who occupied his thoughts. The alpha, hair in battle, also went out on the porch before approaching him, almost cautiously. Felix looked at him, his eyes passing from his face to the blanket he carried with him. Without saying a word, Changbin gently unfolded the blanket before placing it on the omega's shoulders, gauging his reaction to each of his movements.
