Chan, Minho and Seungmin's past

Seungmin felt his backpack almost slide off his shoulder as he skidded around the bend. Minho was a few steps behind him.

"Hurry up, hyung!"

"You need to hurry! I'll step on you if you don't run faster!"

Seungmin accelerated, descending the main street. He heard Minho moaning behind him about his bag and his books, which weighed heavily on his back.

They were at the end of October. It had been more than a month since they went back to school, in the next town over. Minho started his senior year in high school, while Seungmin was trailing behind, a year late. At the moment, they were hurrying not to miss the next bus that would take them back to the nearest place, outside the city.

"He's stuck at the traffic light! Hurry!" Minho whistled in his back.

Seungmin felt the muscles of his thighs burning as he pushed a little harder to reach the bus stop in time. The two wolves arrived at the bus just as the traffic light was passing green. They desperately knocked on the door for the driver to open to them. But he ignored them. The bus started and left without them.

"Son of a bitch!"

Seungmin sighed, dragging himself to the bench under the bus stop to sit down. Minho followed him, still fulminating after the bus driver. Now they were going to have to wait 20 minutes for the next bus. They took the opportunity to have a drink and catch their breath.

"We'll be back after 7:00. Fuck it." Minho complained. "I had to do groceries for my mother..."

"I thought we should go to see if Chan-hyung's better?"

"Yes, but I had planned to stop and shop on the road..."

Seungmin pouted. It had been two days since they had heard of Chan. The young man presented early on Tuesday morning and it was his sister who told them in high school. Since then, it was radio silence.

They had planned to come tonight, to ask if it had at least gone well. Maybe see if his presentation was finished. They didn't even know if he presented as an alpha, as planned. Hannah didn't want to tell them anything.

The younger one focused on the other, who was currently sending messages to his mother, explaining that he would not be able to do groceries as planned.

"We always stop at Chan's on the way?"

"Yeah." Minho replied. "No way. I want to know."

Seungmin agreed. He was curious too. Would what they had planned be possible?

They arrived at Chan's house around 7:20 pm. Seungmin really hoped that they wouldn't disturb his family while Minho knocked. They were greeted by the boy's mother, surprised to see them here.

"Oh, good evening, boys."

"Good evening, ma'am." Seungmin replied. "We wanted to know if Chan was better? Can we see him?"
"Yes, he's better. His presentation ended last night. Come in, I'll go see if he can meet you."

Chan's mother let the two boys in, before going upstairs to tell her son. They were waiting, a little tense. Seungmin was very apprehensive about seeing Chan and knowing.

Their host finally came down, telling them that Chan was in his room. The two young men thanked her before joining their friend. Minho barely knocked before entering without waiting for an answer.
