Hyunjin's past!

________________

Hyunjin retreated, narrowly missing the stream of blood that spread on the dirt in front of him. He barely understood that he had just walked on someone's foot behind him, while he heard a low grunt. He turned around, apologizing hastily before focusing again on the fight in front of him.

His father was fighting their pack's alpha, and the fight wasn't pretty.

Their pack alpha wasn't what Hyunjin would call a good leader. The pack's organization was shitty. He was dry and sometimes violent. He didn't treat others well.

His father and other alphas had had enough and had chosen to rebel. Now, his father was fighting to gain the position of pack leader. Would he do better than the previous one? Hyunjin wasn't sure. He didn't trust his father.

Hyunjin glanced at the crowd around him. Their entire pack had gathered around the fight. Everyone was shouting for their favorite. Hyunjin even saw money circulating from time to time. How these people could bet on the future of their pack surpassed him.

He felt his mother's hand slip into his hand, and he tightened his grip on the fingers of the omega. She must not have been happy to see the person she loved being beaten.

Finally, the fight ended. His father raised his fist, showing himself proudly, now that he was at the head of their pack.

The young man watched the crowd divide, shortly after the end of the fight. One part had gone to straighten the former leader, reassuring him. That didn't bode well.

"I refuse to leave you at the head of the pack, Hwang!"

"I won the fight fairly. You no longer deserve to lead our group." His father replied.

"You'll only make things worse! I refuse to leave my pack with you!"

Voices rose in the crowd around him. His followers wouldn't let go either.

"I am leaving!" The former leader announced. "Those who don't want Hwang as the new alpha have only to follow me!"

He was leaning against the kitchen's furniture, watching his mother disinfect most of his father's injuries, waiting for it to heal itself.

"Are you sure you did the right thing, honey?"

"Yes. He couldn't continue to lead the pack as he did. It was the best option. Now I will be able to force my own organization, and everything will work better. I'll be in charge, and everyone will have to obey me."

Hyunjin grimaced. As he expected, it wouldn't be much better. His father was greedy for power. Despite his great speeches about mutual support and a good functioning pack, the youngest knew that it wouldn't turn out the best.

"Hyunjin, I expect you to assume your responsibilities as the son of the new pack alpha. Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna need you. Especially now that the pack has split in two."

"No."

His parents turned to him.

"What do you mean by no?"

"I think I'll leave." The young man said, straightening. "I want to travel, and I think it's a good time to leave."

His father was going to retaliate, but his mother cut him off.
