The figures start to converge on a single yard. I observe their movements. Studying every motion. Each action and reaction. I attempt to put their personas to people I know, but to no avail.
I finally collect myself and start to cross the street. Then, I hear a noise. A kind of whistling noise. Like the cliché sound of a missile falling out of the sky. I scan the horizon for a culprit then, before I could react, a giant, metal, tyrannical machine falls to the ground right next to me. Unsettling the blacktop that surrounded. All I can do is stare up at the monstrosity. I feel myself start to back up. Next thing I knew, I was falling back onto the curb with the robot closing in.
From out of no where, Jake Allen flies in on what appears to be a jet pack. He is also holding something of an arm cannon. He uses it to shoot a sonic boom-like round at the robot, completely obliterating it, before finally landing beside me.
"Hey, Levi!" Jake said upon landing.
It was a bit of an off balance landing, I'll admit. But it got the job done.
