"What the hell is going on, Jake?!" I exclaim a little louder than probably called for.
"There isn't any time to explain. Droppers are coming in from every block surrounding this one. We need to move. Here, take this." He said throwing me something at me.
It was surprisingly lightweight for what it appeared to be. A pistol. But it was unlike any gun I've ever seen before. It felt as if it was pulsing. Like it had vital signs. It felt alive. I look back at Jake to see him scavenging parts of the destroyed robot. It looked like he was building something.
"Here, it's not as light as mine is, but it'll work just the same. Put it on. We're leaving." He ordered.
"What is this thing?" I questioned.
"A jet pack."
