We fly over a lake I recognized. It was the lake my family took me to. We would always have picnics there. We'd go fishing, grill some food, and just be lazy. I wonder if we'll ever do that again?
Anyways, Jake stops rather abruptly.
"Okay. Here we are. The Lake. Now this next part is a bit of a doozy. So hear me out."
I give him a puzzled look.
"We're going to take a little dive. Into the water. Head first. Going really fast." He explained.
Needless to say, I started to freak out.
"What do you mean we have to dive straight into the water!? We'll break our fucking necks! Are you out of your fucking mind?" I stammer out.
"No, no, no. I'm not insane. We won't break our necks. Here, just watch me. Then copy what I do. Simple as that." He assures me.
"Fine. Whatever. If you die, I'm keeping your gun." I joke.
"Ha. Alright. Deal." He agrees.
He gets into a stance. Like he is ready to move at a moment's notice. To make his swift descent. Swift descent to his death. It's fucking water. If we hit it too fast, we're dead. Yup. Done.
He powers up his jet pack and screeches into the sky, pauses, then zooms down towards his watery tomb. I look away just before impact to shield my psyche. But I heard no sound. Nothing but the sound of Jake's jet pack diminishing.
"Okay, man. I'm so fucking done."
