Hailie giggled as I gulped down another shot, I was pretty tipsy but still able to walk at least. This time it was Hailie that was drunk and I didn't have anyway of getting her to safety other than an Uber to her dads house. I kept my bottle of alcohol close to me so she couldn't drink anymore , and then I texted her dad from her phone.

.....

"Wait, I thought you didn't drink?!"

"I don't drink much these days, I'm just drinking this so your crazy ass can't have the rest"" Marshall smirked as I glanced down at my phone.

"Really? You're such a hater." I smirked back as I tried to take the bottle off him. He pushed me back lightly by my shoulder, and gulped down a little bit of it. I was shocked to the way his face screwed up at how strong the drink was.

"Damn grandpa you're a lightweight now huh?" I chuckled.

"Don't call me that." He said before gulping down the rest and looking me dead in the eye.

I raised an eyebrow as he went and disposed of the bottle. He took the tv remote and put some music on.

"I actually listened to your man's stuff again, it's got potential, but the girl singing on that one track...is it you?" He asked.

"What track?" I asked as I glanced at my phone again.

"Stuck with me." He said.

"Nah." I shrugged, knowing damn well I was lying.

"Really?" He narrowed his eyes.

"Yeah." I shrugged once again.

"Ok Hazel." He said in a tone that let me know he probably didn't believe me.

He rolled his eyes playfully as I glanced down at my phone again.

"What's wrong? Every time you look at that damn phone your face gets all tense."

"It's just Justin being...it doesn't matter." I shrugged.

"Show me?" He said.

"You dumb bitch, answer me, I know you're out with your whore friends cheating on me." He seemed shocked to read the message.

"That's my daughter he's talking about, huh?" He scoffed.

"Can I just scroll a little?" He looked up at me.

"Yeah." I said as I started chewing on my knuckle out of nervousness.

"Hey beautiful. I hope today is even better than yesterday." He said.

"I'm so in love with you."

"You're the one thing in my life that makes perfect sense."

"Have fun without me again."

"You think your friends are gonna ride for you? They don't give a fuck about you."

"If you don't come home now I'm locking it down Bitch, you can sleep outside."

"Damn." He said as he handed the phone back to me.

"He needs to stop being so angry."  He shook his head.

I stayed silent and noticed the way he seemed to analyze my emotions.

I flinched slightly as he moved closer to me.

"You didn't ask for my advice so I'm not going to give you any, but if you're ever in any major shit or you can't go back...you can come here, ok?"  He said.

"I'll be fine, we'll be fine." I said quietly.

"But thank you." I said as I gave him a tight hug.

We broke apart, and couldn't  help but noticed the way he kept glancing down at my lips, I mirrored his actions until we both jumped.

"What the fuck was that noise?" he asked.

"It was definitely Hailie, I'll go help her out." I chuckled as I got up.
