"Thank you so much, if it wasn't for your connections I wouldn't have got that job." I squealed as I hugged Hailie tight.

"Just ease yourself into it, for now I'll help you out but make sure you eventually get a team or something." Hailie smirked.

"A team? For modelling." I said.

"Like an agency and stuff...being independent is kinda hard." Hailie shrugged.

"For now I'll help you, we'll build up your portfolio and get everything organised." She continued.

"Ok." I nodded enthusiastically.

"How's it been living with my dad by the way? You've been there a while now?" She smirked.

"It's been ok, I don't know what he would say, probably that I'm annoying..." I shrugged.

"He actually talks about you a lot." Hailie chuckled.

"What does he say? Is it mean?" I raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious.

"No, I think he really admires you, he's actually never said a bad thing about you." She shrugged.

Third person

Marshall walked into Hazel's room, looking for a pen he had lent her, it probably sounded dumb but it was special to him, and he kinda needed it back to write. As he rummaged through the piles of books on her desk, he came across a small, leather-bound journal, he recognised it, he'd seen her write in it before. Out of curiosity, he flipped through the pages, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw his name written on the top of one of them.

"Marshall," Hazel had written, "I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I can't help it. I'm in love with him. I know he's my best friend's dad, and it's wrong, but I can't stop thinking about him."

Marshall's mind raced as he read the words over and over again. He couldn't believe it. Hazel was in love with him? He had never even considered the possibility.

"What the fuck?" He mumbled to himself as he continued to read.

Feeling overwhelmed, he picked up his phone and dialed his daughter's number. Haillie picked up on the third ring.

"Dad? What's up?" she asked.

"Haillie, I need your advice," Marshall said, his voice shaking slightly. "I found Hazel's journal, and... shes fucking...umm....she's fucking in love with me, and I hate that I'm not mad about it." He sighed.

Hailie went quiet and walked into the nearest room and shut the door since Hazel was literally two feet away from her beforehand.

Haillie continued to stay quiet for a moment, taking in what her dad had just told her. "Wow, Dad. That's... intense."

"I don't know what the fuck to do," Marshall said. "I mean...damn, she just had to be your best friend. This could fuck up everything, and I can't imagine you would be happy if your bestie-"

Hailie sighed. "Dad Relax, Stop worrying about me for once. I want you to be happy. And if that means being with Hazel, then I'm gonna be ok with it, especially if you treat each other right."

Marshall felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Really? I just don't want to hurt either of you."

"Yes, Dad," Hailie said. "Lowkey when I think about it...You and Hazel kinda make each other happy, and that's all that matters." Hailie smiled.

Marshall smiled. "Thank you, Hailie. I love you, You're the best daughter... ever." He chuckled.

Hailie laughed. "I know, I know. Just talk to Hazel, love you too." Hailie hung up.

Marshall hung up the phone, feeling grateful for his daughter's understanding and support. He took a deep breath and walked out of Hazel's room, ready to talk to her when she got home.

Hazel's POV

Hailie came walking out of her room with a smirk on her face.

"What's up?" I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Nothing, it was just my dad." She chuckled.

"Do you like living there, like I know you said it's 'ok', but seriously how do you feel?" She crossed her arms and leaned back a little against the counter.

"It good." I laughed, I don't know what she expected me to say.

"Tell me more." She raised an eyebrow.

"You're dads a really good man, his ass has done everything he could possibly do to make me feel safe and comfortable." I shrugged as I felt my cheeks get hot.

"Do you guys talk and stuff?" She asked.

"Bitch is this twenty questions, of course we talk, we literally live together." I chuckled.

"What do you talk about?" She's smirked.

"Everything and anything, sometimes I just like to listen to all these stories he has or the advice he gives me." I shrugged.

"Like if you pissed him off or there was something he needed to...get of his chest would he tell you?"

"I mean, sometimes it feels like she's holding things back, that can be kinda annoying, but I guess that's why I appreciate it when he does open up." I smiled.

"Awww you guys are best buddies huh?" Hailie giggled.

"There's something so off with you right now...but I guess." I said dramatically and laughed.

Do friends cuddle up together?

Do friends check each other out?

Are we really just friends?

"I'm acting off cos my dad said he wants to talk to you when you get home, and it's serious, and I'm trying to figure out what's you did..." Hailie raised an eyebrow.

"Talk to me about what?!" I tried not to panic as I thought about the past few days.

"He ain't gonna go all slim shady on my ass, is he?" I gulped.

"I dunno." Hailie shrugged.

"You should probably go talk to him. Communication and honesty fixes everything." Hailie smiled softly.

I narrowed my eyes, and kept them on her as I picked up my purse.

"Bye Hailie." My tone showed how suspicious I was, what wasn't she telling me.
