Chapter 17 - New Experiences

Friday, April 18th, XXXX - 9:05pm

At the Ackerman Residence

(Y/n) burst into the apartment, running to the master bedroom to throw up in the bathroom.

Again.

Levi had brought inside their dog, and her suitcase. He set the suitcase by the door, and freed Bruce off his leash.

He sighed as he raked his fingers through his hair, taking in everything that had happened back at Mikasa's dorm.

8:12pm

Mikasa's dorm

"YOUR TEST!! IT'S POSITIVE!!" Mikasa bellowed before realizing Levi was in the corridor.

The two were frozen, staring at the test in Mikasa's hand.

"No way...There's no way this is real. I'm...I don't think I'm ready-"

(Y/n) felt a pressure in her stomach, and a heat forming in her throat. She swiftly cupped her left hand over her mouth and pushed past Mikasa to get into the bathroom. She regurgitated into the toilet from the shock.

Levi slowly walked up to Mikasa and took the stick into his hand, closely examining it.

It was real.

As real as the atom that made up his entire existence to stand in that hallway and be presented the proof that his wife was pregnant.

His child was planted inside her.

What to do? How to feel? So many things coursed through him.

"Levi!" Mikasa caught him, seeing as he looked ready to faint and was wavering in his stance slightly. "Sit down." She demanded, in which he did so without quibble.

Mikasa departed into the bathroom to aid (Y/n).

Levi perpetually stared at the positive Pregnancy test.

"I'm going to be a dad..."

"Me..."

"A dad."

"She's carrying...my child!"

"I put a baby in her!"

"Don't puke. Everything is fine! This is-"

"Fuck, I think I'm going to be sick..." Levi said, leaning forward and resting his left elbow on his knee, left hand pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You better fucking not!! I don't have enough bathrooms in the dorm for the both of you to get sick in!!" Mikasa hollered from the bathroom after hearing his statement.

Levi leaned back in the couch, thinking.

Warmth.

A warm feeling suddenly enveloped him when he thought back to a particular day. He felt it in his chest, and in his stomach. He closed his eyes, deeply inhaled. And just like that, he didn't feel anxious anymore.

He smiled, stood up, and went into the bathroom.

(Y/n) had just finished being sick and was rinsing her mouth out with water in the sink. "I'm sorry, Mikasa...You're prolly really tired of this." (Y/n) apologized to her. Her gaze then set on Levi, standing outside the bathroom door. "Levi?"

Mikasa turned around, to see the gentle smile adorning his face.

"Let's go home." He told her. He went into the living room and closed her suitcase. Then, he leashed up Bruce.
