Knock knock knock!
After (Y/n) knocked on the door, the four of them waited outside patiently. Then a minute passed. No signs of life were heard from the inside; not a single indignation.
"Alright then. I expected this to happen." (Y/n) said, taking out a makeshift lock pick and beginning to...well, break and enter.
"Woaaaahhhh...." The three guys soon made a hushed uproar in the hallway.
"Whaaaat?" (Y/n) whined.
"That's just wrong. Don't break into a depressed guy's dorm." Armin scolded her. "After all, the least we can do is show that we respect his space."
(Y/n) blankly stared at him, then rolled her eyes and unlocked the door anyway.
"And to think you changed your old ways..." Armin muttered, shaking his head at her like a disappointed mother.
(Y/n) pushed the door open, having to then plug her nose from the foul odor that flowed from within. She entered the dorm, stepping over trash bags that littered the hallway leading to the living room. The three boys purposefully stayed outside the dorm, waiting until the horrible smell left the dorm.
A neighbor from the door directly across Reiner's dorm, opened their door, surprised to see the three men standing there. He had short red hair, with bangs brushed neatly over his forehead. He also had light brown eyes, seemingly a honey color. After looking at the open door across the hall past the three men, he showed relief with his eyes. "Thank god! Someone has finally come to kick this guy out...that smell from his dorm is just disgusting..." The sassy male said.
Jean simply glared at the young man.
"Well, if it helps any, we apologize on his behalf. He's fallen into depression, and we've come to help him get his dorm cleaned up, and just check on his well-being." Marco explained.
"H-How long has the smell been going on? Has it been this way for some time, or...?" Armin attempted to get insight on the dilemma with Reiner.
"Does it matter? It's raunchy and needs to be taken care of immediately." The male remarked.
"Excuse you...?" Jean asked, aggression laced in his tone.
The young man sighed. "Look, I'm just being realistic here. If he can't handle himself here, then he needs to leave and go home. This guy sounds like he needs professional help. It's real generous of you guys to come up here and check on him, but if it's this bad...he shouldn't be in this environment."
The three felt agitated that some random, who clearly didn't have enough sympathy to consider the situation properly, gave their 2 cents on a matter that didn't involve them.
As the young man was to walk away, he stopped. He then turned to them, looking at Jean directly, and smirked. "Say, how about I help?" He suddenly asked. "The more people, the more care it shows." He reasoned.
Marco and Armin looked at one another, unsure at first. But, Marco shrugged. "I don't see why no-"
"What's the catch?" Jean asked, interrupting Marco. "Just now, you showed you could care less about this guy and what we're here for. Don't you dare take advantage of a vulnerable situation." Jean warned.
"Well, I was thinking. If you let me help, then...let me be you guy's friend."
"We have plenty." Jean immediately replied.
