Mira looked at Adrian who was talking with Chief Colson and for some reason, his entire attention was on her. She didn't know why he kept looking at her. Mira turned her attention towards Phoebe. She was lying down on the bed and Fred was holding her hand. They were like work twins and they can understand each other without taking anything.

Mira walked towards Phoebe who smiled at her weakly. "You will be alright. Don't worry alright?" Mira said softly. Adrian joined her. "You don't have many injuries, but I suggest that you take some time off and go somewhere. Let Fred take you, with him." Again, Fred looked at Phoebe. They were having some silent conversation among them. Then she looked at Adrian and said "I like to continue the investigation boss, now I was a victim myself, I know how it felt to be abducted like that."

"When you are ready, we are going to get your statement," Adrian said to Phoebe and then hugged her. He moved back and placed a kiss on top of my head. "Feel better alright?" That is when Mira saw his softer side towards any of his team members. That was a new thing A very new thing for her to see. She realized he was connected to his team members like they were his own family. And he might not show it, but it is there somewhere inside of him.

He then talked to some people. Then returned back to where Mira was standing. He held her in his arms not caring who was looking. "Go home, I have told my driver to take you home, alright Honey?" He told Mira. "Go home, no diversion." Adrian sounded hesitant and scared. "No diversion Mira, I am serious." Mira nodded and placed a kiss on his cheek. Then she turned around to leave but he held her hand and pulled her back to him.

"You will wait for me at the home when I return, promise me that." She nodded. "Alright, go and don't go out before I come home." Then Mira left. She knew he will be busy with Phoebe for a while and if she had to leave this place undetected, she has this time frame when she can without him finding out. And if she wished to go, he must not know about her plans at all.

Mira got inside the house and called her contact. "I am ready, how fast can you make the arrangements?" She asked. "How fast do you need it?" The person asked her. "As fast as your hands can work. I have few hours most to do all of it." Mira said and cut the call. She looked around the vacant house. In a few hours, she will leave but she will not return back. She will not see him again.

"Adrian, please forgive me, but I cannot risk it. Not even if I have fallen hopelessly in love with you. Even when I have seen how good it is going to be, my life with you. I wish it was real. I wish we could happen. I know we would have been happy Adrian; I know." She touched the picture on his bedside table. It was hers, and she didn't even notice it till now. He had put their picture from the night of the bonfire. He had changed for good. And she was happy, she definitely was.

"Now, only if you find someone who can take care of you, Adrian. Then I won't have to be worried about you reverting back to your old ways." She whispered and opened his side of the closet. She took out his shirt and smelled it. It smelled of comfort, safety, security, and the love she will be leaving behind. But she knows it would be dangerous for him to stay next to her. The people can harm him to get to her. And she cannot let it happen for anything.

Mira took her things and took a picture of him as a reminder of what she was leaving behind. "Perhaps if someday, I come back to you again, if you are ready then to accept me in your life if you were not taken already by someone better than me..." Her heart was constricted and her eyes filled with tears, even when she was writing these lines.

"I cannot leave without saying goodbye to you for one last time Adrian, but I have to leave. I have to for your own good. I am not who you think I am, and my burden is mine to carry. But know this, if I could have loved anyone in this world as my second chance, it would have been you. I know this, and I feel this in my heart. Adrian, I am sorry." She whispered and then gave one last look to the room she had dared to call her home.
