ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 2

As Theo regained consciousness, there was a loud ringing in her ears and her legs felt weak. She slowly stood up, becoming more aware of her surroundings when a loud scream could be heard. The blonde looked up to see the girl lying on the edge of a ledge, extremely high up, Theo kept thinking how on earth the girl got up there but rushed to help. 

Stephen, once he'd woken up, was helping Wong as Theo used a surge of energy to jump up to where the girl was. Looking down, she seen her dad and Wong struggle to control the monster. As the monster started to climb the tall building, Theo stood in front of the girl, protectively, the electrical energy building up in her hands. Suddenly, a tentacle started smashing the stone that they were standing on and the girl fell, however, Theo managed to grab the girls hand and pulled her up into a part of the stone that wasn't broken. They stood close, their hands still linked.

Wong and Stephen continued to fight the creature, Theo turned around to see if the girl was okay before jumping onto the creatures back and sending electrical waves through it to distract the monster as her dad pulled a lamppost from the ground and threw it into the monsters eye. After jumping back onto the ledge, the blonde pulled a face of disgust as the eye was pulled out, the monster falling to the ground. 

For the first time, Theo spoke to the girl, "Are you okay?" 

The girl was still in slight shock but nodded, "Are you okay?" She questioned.

"Just great." Theo replied, knowing that she is going to definitely wake up with many bruises in the morning. Just then, her dad flew up and opened one of his portals, she walked through it as Stephen lightly pulled the girl through. 

Just as the girl was about to run off, Stephen grabbed her hand, "Hey kid. What did that creature want with you?" He asked, but the girl looked at him with a slightly confused look. "Where are your parents?" Wong asked, Theo was lost in thought, looking at the girl. She was starting to feel something she never felt before and she didn't know what it was.

As soon as they turned around, the girl ran off, "She took my slingie." Steven stated. 

"She took your slingie." Wong repeated, Theo smiled lightly as Wong opened a portal so that they stood behind the girl which gave her a fright. Stephen put his hand out towards her, "I'm not going to kill you, kid." He says, obviously wanting his 'slingie' back. 

Theo nods, "I mean, we did just get our asses kicked trying to save you." She adds on, her hands still hurting from using her power. The girl looked at her, with a little bit of guilt as she looked at the cuts on the blonde's face before giving back the metal 'slingie'. Stephen continued to talk, "Giant monsters I can clearly handle but what bothers me is that, last night, you were in my dream." 

Theo looked at her dad strangely and furrowed her eyebrows questionably. "That...wasn't a dream..." The brunette girl replied, "...It was another universe." 

Stephen and Wong looked at each other, confused, as the amber eyed girl replied, "Another what?"

"So how much experience do you guys have with the multiverse?" The girl asked as they sat in a café.

Theo looked at her dad as he answered, "We have experience of the multiverse, most recently, there was an incident with Spider-Man." The blonde was confused for a moment, not knowing what her dad was talking about. 

The brunette girl scoffed, "What man?" She asked, smiling slightly. 

"Spider-Man, he has the powers of a spider." Stephen answered, "Hence the name." Wong added.
