"Dad it's getting late can I please stop training now? I'm really sleepy..." The young girl yawns and rubs her eyes, dropping the legendary staff in the process.
"I already told you! We've wasted too much time, we aren't leaving until you master those golden eyes I gave you!" The monkey said while calmly sitting on his cloud. "You want to make me proud don't you?"
"Yes! But-"
"No butts! Butts are for sitting! Not for disrespecting your father young lady!"
The girl hangs her head low. "Yes Father..."
The girl picks up the staff and continues to train hard despite hardly being able to keep her eyes open.
"Don't you think you're being too harsh on her? She's just a kid." The monkey's shadows eyes glow purple as a darker version emerges.
Wukong falls back in surprise. "Oh it's just you. You need to stop doing that Macaque."
"You know I can't do that Wukong. Hanging out in the shadows is my thing... kind of like overworking your daughter is your thing."
"First, if you don't stop doing that shadow crap I'll put a bell on you myself! Second, I'm not "Overworking" her I'm just helping her be the best person she can be."
"By making her train for eight hours straight...?" Macaque says in a sarcastic tone with his eyesbrows raised
"Eight hours is not even half the time she's going to be doing when she gets older."
Macaque frowns.
"That's it I'm stepping in! You can't overwork a child!" Macaque walks over to the girl and takes the staff out her hand.
Lydia yawns "Uncle Macaque when you'd get here..?" She rubs her eyes.
Macaque picks her up bridal style and walks into the direction of the house.
"I just got here a minute ago. Cmon Kid let's get you to bed, Can't train if you're Exhausted.
Wukong frowns and flies off on his cloud as Macaque tucks the little girl in.
"What about my training? Dad said I don't get to sleep until I master my golden eye vision? I don't want dad to be disappointed in me..."
"Now why would he be disappointed in you kid? You're amazing!"
Tears start to well up in the little girl's eyes. "Just look at me! You guys are super cool monkeys and I'm just some boring human! I can't compare to you or dad. I can't be a hero or a warrior, I can barely even master one simple power!"
Macaque puts a hand on her shoulder. "Listen kid... you're unlike any other human I've ever met. There's something special about you. You might not be able to do all those monkey powers but you are able to be you, and being you is the most amazing thing you can do.
The girl wipes her eyes and softly smiles.
"Maybe one day you'll become big and strong but you won't get there yet. While training is important taking care of your needs is the most important. When the day comes that you beat me or your dad we'll both be super proud of you. No matter what you want to be we'll be there to support you. We're family."
"Thanks uncle Macaque, I really needed that talk." The girl hugs Macaque. Macaque sits there shocked for a second but quickly returned it.
"Heh. Goodnight kiddo."
Macaque tucks them into bed and leaves the room. "Now its time to have a chat with that stupid monkey."
