"Why don't we just teleport to wherever we are going?!?! You know I'm terrified of heights!" She clings tightly to him, eyes squeezed shut as they are flying through the air. "Quit whining! We're almost there." There's silence for a moment "What are those peasants doing?!?" They land on the ground as she opens her eyes he puts her down behind a couple of tall rocks so she can't she what's happening. "Stay here and don't move." He then runs in the opposite direction. "You can't just leave me here you jerk! And he's gone..." Out of the corner of her eye she sees a jet fly past her. "What the hell is going on?!?!" While trying to take a peek at what's going on her phone starts to ring. "How is my phone still intact after all of this?"
"Hello?"
"You're late on your report Miss Wukong"
"Wow no "hey glad to see you're safe!"
"My lady isn't very pleased with you."
"Tch...Yeah well I kind of got caught up in something"
"And what is that?"
"Are you serious? This whole catastrophe disaster going on outside?!"
"Your not in your apartment. Where are you?"
"I have no idea."
"I'm tracking you now. I'll be there to pick you up, then we are going to have a little chat."
"Wait you have a tracker on my phone-?!"
The phone hangs up she sighs. "Jeez not even a break when the world looks THIS messed up."
"Hello Miss Wukong." Lydia jumps back in surprise. She sees the never ending creepy ass smile on the mayor. "How many times do I have to tell you NOT to call me that!" He grabs her wrist and together they teleport to his office.
"Sit." She scoffs and takes a seat in a chair. "I don't see what the big deal is! I just missed one day!" The mayor takes a seat in front of her. "It doesn't matter. You have to do your duty every single day. Don't forget that my lady didn't have to revive you." She rolls her eyes "Yeah, Yeah, Can I go home now? I need to do my "report." The mayor stands up "Fine you're lucky my lady sees you as a daughter or else you wouldn't be getting off so easily. Here I know how much you hate your hideous face." He gives her some makeup and she uses it to cover up her stitches.
"Ugh finally. I hate that guy so much, with his stupid creepy smile and terrifying crazy eyes!" She walks towards the kitchen to get a snack. Her door is knocked down with MK in the doorway. "WHA- MY DOOR!" He rushes towards her a traps her in a tight hug. "YOU'RE ALIVE!!!" Her face turns blue "Too....Tight!" He quickly let's go of her. "Oh sorry! It's just I thought you were hurt or even dead! I couldn't find you anywhere!" He said tears threatening to fall down his face. She looks at him with sad eyes. "You don't have to worry I'm not hurt or anything." She then looks down to see he is holding something red and gold...It's her father's staff...But how can he wield it...Only the successor can wield it- wait that means... He replaced her. MK notices her staring wide eyes at the staff "Oh yeah! I got the monkey king's staff and I'm kinda his successor now." She looks down so he can't see the tears forming in her eyes. "I think you should go..." he looks shocked "What? But I just got here-"
"I SAID GO!!!" He's shocked by her outburst. Normally Lydia is calm and collected...He's never heard her yell before. He reaches out to her. "Lydia-" She smacks his hand away. "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" She screams no longer seeing her friend MK. She only sees the heartless monster who was responsible for her death. He stares into her eyes and all he sees is fear he decides to just give up and leave.
"Why,Why,Why,WHY!!!" She punches the wall leaving a hole in it. "How could he just replace me like that! Uncle was right he really is a heartless bastard!!!" She takes out her phone and dials a number but it goes straight to voicemail.
"Uncle Macaque...Please answer...I need you right now."
