chapter 10 (punishment)

"I have to get Boonchuy," Andrias said to himself, pacing around. "But how?"

He began to brainstorm until he came up with the perfect plan. "GAURDS," he yelled. "Go get the experiment."

"B-but it's not ready yet."

"I don't care. I am your king. You will do what I tell you to."

"Yes, sir," the guard said, bowing down to him.

Anne's pov

I was very confused. Olivia had randomly called me saying that it was something with Sasha. I was still a little concerned by what she said last night, but I know she would end up ok in the end and she was recovering from her injuries fast so I had no idea what this could be about.

I was following Olivia to Sasha's room and I started to get really nervous. What if she's DEAD?! No! She's not dead. Shut up, Anne.

As I pushed aside the curtain, I saw Sasha and was shocked. SHE HAS POWERS NOW?! "Sash- I-" I didn't know what to say. "Anne?! What are you doing here," Sasha asked, in an almost mad voice. Her hair faded back to normal. "Uhh I don't even know, Olivia just told me to follow her, so I did."

All of a sudden, there was a loud bang from outside. Sasha looked scared. I guess this was what it was like the first time. "Don't worry, Sash. I can handle this," I said to her. "Anne, I want to help!" Sasha yelled back at me. "NO! I want to keep you safe. END. OF. DISCUSSION."

Sasha looked at me, shocked. I can't even believe I just said that. I didn't know how to react so I just went outside to see what was up.

When I opened the door, I froze of shock. "Marcy?" I said, quietly. "Anne!" 'Marcy' replied. I ran over and hugged her with tears forming in my eyes.

"I'm so glad you're ok," I said. Even though I found the whole situation a little bit weird, I decided to ignore it. "Me, too," she replied.

We kept hugging for a good minute when I felt Marcy's arm lift. I looked up to see what she was doing, and I saw one of the robots arms coming from Marcy's body. This wasn't Marcy. It was one of Andrias's robots. That explains the loud bang from earlier.

I quickly activated my powers and grabbed its arm. I yanked as hard as I could. It fell off. Then I heard the door open. I looked back to see what was going on. "Sasha?! What are you doing? You could get hurt," I yelled back at her. "And so could you. I wanna help so stop acting like I'm useless," she yelled at me. I didn't say anything. She had a point. And since she could use her calamity powers, she would be a big help.

Sasha then charged at the robot, punching it, causing it to fall backwards. It didn't seem to take any physical damage though. I looked over at Sasha for a second. She looked very excited to have a powers.

I looked back at the robot and was about to punch it when I stopped myself. It looked like Marcy again. I froze. I couldn't hurt it. "Anne, what are you doing? You have a clean shot," Sasha yelled at me. "I-I can't. I know it's not actually Marcy but..." I was interrupted. Sasha punched the robot from behind, causing it to break into a million pieces.

Sasha rubbed her hands together, pretending to brush dirt off. "Sasha, I'm sorry. For everything. I shouldn't have underestimated you. And if it weren't for you, I would probably be smashed just like the robot," I said. "Hey, don't worry about it. But don't do it again or maybe you will just be like the robot," she said to me, laughing. I laughed along with her and went back inside.

Third person (at the palace)

"No... I couldn't have failed. My plan was perfect." Andrias said, who had been watching the whole battle. He banged his giant hand on the table out of anger. Andrias then heard his name being called. By the Core.

"Andrias! Get your ass over here. And don't make me wait long," it said. It sounded angry, as it should since Andrias failed. Andrias knew the Core had an unimaginable punishment in mind but he couldn't keep it waiting or it would be worse.

Andrias walked into the throne room and was immediately greeted with a shocking surprise. He felt a burning pain in his stomach. He looked down and saw a flaming sword going straight through his stomach. In fact, it was the same sword that he stabbed Marcy with.

A puddle of blood started to form under him. The sword was pulled out, and Andrias fell. The fall was so hard, it left a crack in the floor and his crown fell off.The Core then walked in from the hallway, dropping the bloody sword. It slowly walked over to Andrias's head. "Oops! Looks like my hand slipped," the Core said, picking up the kings crown and putting it on its head.

Andrias tried to lift himself up but fell immediately. "Y-you m-monster," he said. He then took his last breath, leaving him dead on the floor, in a puddle of his own blood.
