chapter 12 (kidnapped)

Anne's pov

Sasha and I were both tired after training and decided to go back inside. On our way in, we saw that there was a letter on the front door step. "Well, this is weird. Why would get any mail if all of the mail deliverers are in Newtopia and probably under attack in some way," I asked, picking up the letter.

"I don't know, but it's probably pretty important. Open it!" She replied. I nodded and started to open the letter.

Citizens of Amphibia,

We would like to inform you that your king Andrias is no longer your ruler. You will have a new ruler going by the name of 'the core.'

, Newtopian mail system, it read.

"Sasha, do you know what this means?!" I asked excitedly.

"Ummm, no?"

"It means we can finally go back to Newtopia and take back the music box! If Andrias isn't there it means the box is unguarded."

"Yea,  but the letter also said there's a new ruler. I would assume they would at least know about the music box."

"Well, I guess we can hope that they're nicer than Andrias."

"It's not that easy, Anne! This ruler could be really strong and if they're stronger, they could possibly kill us. Even if they are nicer, we're not ready."

"Oh, come on, Sash. We've been training everyday for a whole week, and we're both getting better everyday."

"No, Anne. We're not going and that's that."

I was silent. I couldn't argue with that. I just slowly walked back inside and into my room. I jumped on my bed with my stomach facing down. I dug my head into my pillow and started screaming to get my anger out.

Pretty soon, Sprig came into my room and was kind of weirded out by what he walked in on. "Wow. Anne, are you good?" He asked. I lifted my face off my pillow. "No," I replied. "Sasha and I just got news that Andrias isn't king anymore..." "that's great!" Sprig said, cutting me off. "So I thought 'this is our chance to take back the music box, let's go to Newtopia and get it,' but Sasha was all like 'no, it could be dangerous, we have no idea how powerful this new ruler is and we're not ready. Isn't that dumb?"

"Ok, I'm not disagreeing with you, but maybe Sasha has a point. Whoever this new ruler is could be really dangerous," he replied. Well, so much for getting Sprig on my side.

"Come on, dude."

"No way, Anne. Maybe we have to keep doing our normal routine instead of jumping in head first," he replied, leaving my room.

I sighed, putting my head back in the pillow. I need to come up with and idea. I know this will work. I sat there for a few minutes, thinking, until I finally came up with a good idea.

I gasped the second I came up with it. "That's it! I'll kidnap them in their sleep and take them to Newtopia. There's no way they can say no if they're already half way there," I said. "That sounds kinda weird out loud but who cares! I'm doing this."

I stayed up all night waiting for this moment. It was about midnight and everyone asleep.

First, I went outside and signaled for Joe Sparrow, who showed up almost immediately. "Stay here, Joe. I'll be back in a sec," I said to him, running back inside.

I found a net, which might have been the same net Sasha captured me and the Plantars with, and went into Sasha's room. I knew she was a pretty heavy sleeper so this should be pretty easy.

I wrapped the net around her and started dragging her out to Joe. I put her on his back and his face looked very confused.

I went back and grabbed all the Plantars in one go. I threw them on Joe Sparrows back as well. "Could you bring us to Newtopia please," I whispered to Joe.

He started fly off, and I then realized that there was no turning back.

I had just fallen asleep when I was suddenly woken by Sasha aggressively shaking me. "Anne, you better wake up right now, I swear to frog," she was yelling.

I grunted. "Chill out, Sash. Why are you so mad?" I said, half awake. I began to wake up fully when I remembered we were on Joe Sparrow flying to Newtopia. "Ooooh, right."

"Anne, what the fuck?! Where are we going," she asked, angrily, as she should. "Well, funny story, I didn't listen to any of you and kidnapped you in your sleep to take you all to Newtopia," I replied to her. Sasha stared at me like I was insane, again as she should.

"Anne," she started. "I have to admit, you are literally insane.

"Oh, come on I-"

"NO ONE KIDNAPS THEIR FRIENDS"

"Well, then I guess I'm the first."

"We have to turn back right now."

"We can't. We're way to far away from home now."

"But what Grime and the rest of the frogs?"

"Oh, shoot. I didn't think about that."

"Grimes gonna think we were kidnapped or something."

"Well, technically you were."

"SHUT UP, ANNE!"

You know what? good idea, I thought to myself while I did exactly what Sasha told me to do.
