chapter 14 (darcy pt. 2)

a/n: omfg im so sorry i haven't written anything in a while. i was unmotivated. this chapters pretty short but idc.

Anne's pov

             "Ok, so here's a the plan," I said to the Plantars. "You guys will go and look for Sasha in the prison and I'll look in the kings room." "Ok but what if she isn't in either of those places," Sprig asked. "Well, let's just meet outside and come up with a new plan."

             "We need to stop splitting up," sprig said. I couldn't hear him though. I was too focused on finding Sasha. I wasn't gonna lose another friend.

              I started walking to palace but I quickly noticed that there was even more security than ever. I activated my calamity powers and flew directly into the window to the throne room. It was pitch black. I started walking through the room trying to find some kind of light when I got startled by a sudden orange light. At least I could see now.

"Well well well, what do we have here?" I heard a voice say. It sounded like Marcy but I decided to ignore that. "Who are you," I yelled out. "I could answer, but I think you already know," the voice said.

It began to walk out of the only darkness left in the room, revealing its face. I couldn't believe my eyes. "M-marcy?" My voice was shaking. "Partly. We're the Core, but we prefer Darcy."

"N-no. Your lying. What did you do to her?" I got really scared. I couldn't lose her. I wouldn't lose her. "What did I do to her? How dare you accuse us of such things. You on the other hand..."

I felt my powers come back. "I DIDNT DO ANYTHING," I yelled at it. "oh, but you did," it replied to me. "you neglected her. you ignored her. you were a bad friend." I fell to my knees as tears fell from my eyes

                 I heard that thing giggle at me. "I am going to FUCKING KILL YOU," I yelled, jumped towards Darcy. It dodged. "Hm hm hm. You don't wanna kill me. You'll be hurting Marcy."

                I stopped. They're right. Ugh, I don't have time for this! I have to find Sasha, I thought as I tried to leave the throne room.

            I don't know why I didn't just fly out, but I ran and ended up tripping on a rock and falling into a guard's arms. I started to panic, thinking I had been caught but I looked up at the guards face. It was Sasha! "Take Heart to the jail. I'll figure out what do with her later," Darcy said, turning the other direction. "Yes, ma'am," she said in a deep voice. I tried not to laugh.

               I looked up again. Suddenly I couldn't help but stare at her. I never noticed how truly beautiful she was until now. I think I started to blush. I couldn't help it. Even with the giant scar on her eye, she was stunning. She's gonna be mine once this all over. I'll make sure of it.
