XXVI - Strength

Henry missed his husband.

Daniel hadn't gone anywhere or anything like that. Matter of fact, he was right beside him, yet Henry couldn't help the sudden empty feeling that entered him this morning when he opened his eyes. With Dimitri in their lives now, there was no such thing as a well rested night anymore. "Sorry," Henry relaxed and breathed. "I didn't see Dimitri and I panicked for a second."

"Oh, well," Dorian shrugged, "I heard him for a second and when I looked in your room, you and Daniel were still out cold. Thought I'd give y'all a break so you could sleep. That, and I couldn't sleep anymore."

"Thanks," Henry crossed his arms over his naked chest. He was dressed down in just a pair of black boxers, hair having fallen out of the hair tie he'd been wearing. "You sure you don't mind? I can take over."

Dorian shook his head, "I got it. He's quiet right now anyways."

Thankful, Henry took the opportunity and headed back to the room. When he closed the door behind himself again, he neared the foot of the bed and stretched. The need for sleep was leaving him as well, but just lying down to do nothing for a while seemed like a great idea. Before he could step around the bed, he paused when Daniel woke up from his slumber. Daniel smiled tiredly to himself  and sat up under the covers.

"Good morning," he said, voice just a bit huskier than it usually was.
