Chapter 14 : Intensions

Slowly the dagger flew in my direction as my body froze. I bowed my head, closing my eyes until there was the sound of a stitch in the wall above my head. Countless beads of sweat crawled down my forehead as I found the dagger buried in the wall. She screamed and pointed the gun at me but when she released the trigger no bullet came out. It's now my chance.

I stepped one foot on the asphalt shingles roof as I looked down at the house, my vision doubled, my heart rate rose while my mouth filled with saliva. "You can't get away from me, Diana!"

Crap I can't jump, it's too high!

I look up as I pulled the dagger out of the wall and pointed at her reason for her to freeze. "S-stop! D-don't you dare go near me!"

"As if I'm scared. If I were you, I would run away," she said in mellifluous tone. She cast another spell on her hand while my frigid trembling hand still pointed the dagger at her. As my foot search where to step on, I slipped reason for me to stretch straight out as my body fell on the grass as something tiny sharps sank into my body reason for me to groan.

I lifted myself up and found my arms with tiny crystals buried with small particles of blood until it was numb and gradually aching. When I slowly withdrew my leg my muscle twisted causing me to whine and grabbed it. My eyes started getting wet as I caught my breath, groping my leg. How can I run in my condition? Am I going to die?

"I'll give you ten seconds to escape, darling. Just don't get lost in the woods. Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven." she counted backwards from the upper floor as I look around and crawl on the grass approaching the window frame of the mansion. I held on to it and erected myself as my foot dangled and walked the other foot slowly into the woods. When I got away, I stopped and leaned against a tree as I examined her in the back and found that she was not outside their mansion yet. The quickest way to get to town is through the woods. I just find the way down because their territory is on uphill.

I ran while clinging to the trees without looking behind me. The branches creaking, my feet shuffling through detritus as the squirrels chattering, leaves rustling while the wind whistling around disturbing the leaves until time slowed down as my vision doubled. I look around and find that the trees are turning two to three and penetrating back and forth while I caressed my head. What's happening to me?

"W-w-where's the downhill-"

I accidentally stepped on my bruised leg causing me to lose balance as my body collapsed and rolled down the slant ground. I never had a chance to scream until a cold big hard object hit my head that blacked out my system.

Viola's POV

Mom's grasping objects in the kitchen almost made a noise as her rants reached the living room at me as I just sat in the chair, dugging up my nail.

"What is going on with you, Viola? Are you still in the right frame of mind? Nangongoblema na nga tayo sa iyong ama tapos dadagdag ka pa? Why don't you just do what your father said to get him free after all you are the reason why he was imprisoned!"

"It's not that easy as you think." I couldn't help but talk back as I remained my gaze in my dabby nails.

"Are you talking back to me? Kung hindi madali para sa iyo edi pag aralan mo, hindi 'yong makikipag away ka!" she fumed. "You have no benefit in this family. I wish I didn't give birth to you. You're discourteous and have lofty pride. Nakahihiya ka."

"Sana nga ma, hindi mo na ako pinanganak! Pabigat lang ako 'di ba?" sorry, mom. I need to do this.

A saucepan flew to the floor near my feet as its lid fell out causing it to make noise, making me flinch. "Oo pabigat ka! Buti alam mo!"
