Chapter 10 : Visit

Diana's POV

My arms crossed as I watched in the distance the dancers in the middle of the spotlight. The breeze crept over my skins as I didn't say a word next to Percy. How innovative. He looks so quiet and sad. This is what I want but why do I feel so sad?

"Aren't you mad at me?" he suddenly asked in almost a mutter as I slowly raised my eyebrow turned to look at him. He didn't turned back while his eyes gleamed due to the light of the spotlight as he focused on the court. His side face. Nose pointed as he swallowed reason for his adam's apple move. How dashing he is. But what a bully and reckless guy.

I turned my gaze back to the court as I release a sigh. "I-I, don't know."

"I see.."

We both fell silent until I took a deep breath. "I should be mad at you, but maybe I shouldn't. I don't want to instill resentment in someone. Maybe short time anger?"

Out of the corner of my eye he turned to me with a calm look. "Tsk. You're easy to forgive. You still forgive me no matter how many times I cross the line?"

"Why not? It's just you pulling my patience. I may forgive, but I'll never forget,"

"Yeah. I'm sorry." he mumbled under his breath but it was enough for me to hear it. A hammer precipitated and rattled my chest. Tingles creep into my heart while the both ends of my lip, lifted reason for me to smile backwards as I swallowed it. What a weird feeling.

"Apology accepted,"

Silence settled over us as we watched the wave of dancers. We were close to the parked carriages as we had dim light coming from the spotlights focused on the court. I can't believe he finally apologize. Am I dreaming? That's kinda odd.

Alistair and Luis entered my mind as I turned to him with a frown. "May I ask you something?"

"Shoot."

It took me a while to answer, thinking that I should ask him this. "I noticed Vincent, as if he was avoiding Luis," I started as I remembered when Percy and Alistair met. "And you and Alistair, you said he had changed. What do you mean by that? What mediated between the four of you?"

"Really, prez? That question? Just ask something else,"

"W-why? Is it personal?" I added as I got no response from him. "W-well, it's okay-"

"No, not that personal." he cut me off as I turned to him. "The four of us are friends. Since elementary. That all changed when his mother asked him where he was going to high school," he added as he look into my eye. He gave me a nasty smile. "He chose Plisore as well as Vince. Alistair was the same but not in his dream but that was what his father wanted. I'll be left behind but we plan to meet when dismissal time. The day of the examination came. Alistair and Luis passed while Vince couldn't accept that he didn't pass because he lacked three points before passing score."

I suddenly remembered Viola. I knew she was just quiet but I had a feeling that if we split up she would be sad. "Aren't you sad that you're going to split up with your friends?"

"Tsh. I'm not worrying about that. It's not necessary that all friends live close by. You don't have to be sad because at the end of the day you'll still meet your friend. Somewhere only you guys know," he look down as his shoes trifle the rocks on the ground.

"You're not Percy," I spew out reason for him to chuff. His gentle smile gradually faded causing my forehead to knit.

"The next thing Vince and I knew was that the two of them were ignoring and avoiding us. One time, if I'm not mistaken Luis was carrying a knife. We were supposed to play basketball but he dropped his knife on the floor as the guard saw it. Luis pointed out to Vince that he was the one who brought it reason for him to be removed from the team and I quit. After that incident, they got into a fight. Alistair and I only stopped Luis when there's a trace of blood on Vince's nose and lip. He didn't even give a reason. He also didn't apologize in the following days. He left us. While Alistair got too busy with his academics." he pause for a moment. "The reason why I said that Alistair has changed because he used to be with the bullies. Now he's a show off person."
