'Don't piss off Boss today. Just don't piss him off anymore today!' Sans chanted in his head as he exited the small town. Boss was already in warning mode because of this morning.

Any more fuck ups and Sans was really gonna get it. He shuttered just thinking about it.

Maybe if he did his job right today, Boss would be proud and not want him to go die in the ditch?

He sure hoped so, he was already feeling like shit considering it was 3 AM in the morning. Well now it was four, but he still had to get up at three.

Before he realized he wasn't paying attention, he collided with a big object.

"Oof!" He fell to the ground before looking up to see a very large, very angry-looking monster glaring at him.

"Hey, watch it fuck face or I'll crush you like the little parasite you are!"

Sans blinked at the insult before realizing his mistake, "... S-Sorry about that..." He squeaked out.

The other tsked and stormed off.

Sans stood, dusting off his jacket. Of all the things he could've said and done, he apologized without thinking.

Papyrus wouldn't even think of apologizing. He'd probably be a badass and kill that bastard! No, Boss wouldn't even need to kill the guy. That's how cool he was. Just his mere presence could scare anyone off.

He glanced back at the monster only to find that the guy was staring holes through his head. He quickly faced forward before walking off to his station. What the hell was that guy's problem? Who even was he?

Sure, there were other monsters outside Snowdin but even still. Sans kept a pretty good account of the faces he interacted with, first occasions and all, but he had never seen that guy before.

Maybe he should report the guy to Papyrus?

After 10 more minutes of walking, he finally made it to his station. He sat down and did what he always does when he first gets there; Stare off into space.

He shook his head. No, he had to focus today. He was going to sit here and keep an eye out for any strange behavior or visitors. No sleeping and no teleporting to Grillby's...

He taps his fingers on the counter, glancing around the blank area. So far so good.

"Just 6 more hours to go..." He whispers to himself before deciding to check the little hanging watch under the table.

5 minutes had passed since he'd arrived.

"This suuucks." He groaned out, letting his skull fall onto the counter.

He sighed but tried to think positively.

'Well, on the bright side, at least I'll be more likely to stay awake now that I'm hungry. Maybe Boss'll even let me go to Grillby's if I do good today!' He thought happily to himself.

"Hey, runt!" A familiar voice called.

Sans yelped in surprise, gaze meeting the others. Yep, it was the same tall, broad, and furry bear monster he'd just bumped into earlier. God, what now?

"I was hoping you'd go to some secluded area... Is there anyone here with you? You do know it's dangerous to be alone, right? Especially when you appear so weak." The guy said with a disturbing tone and grin.

Sans just stared at him, processing the other's words.

"Uh... Yeah, I guess so?" He replied in an unsure tone. Why was this guy bothering him? All he did was bump into him and he doubted his small frame did any damage to the other monster. He even apologized so what the hell?
