I noticed the lightening sky. "Bard!" I leapt to him. "The sun is rising! What do we do?!"
He flinched. "What?! But nighttime lasts about 12 hours!"
"Doesn't matter!" I shook him by the shoulder. "You're in a dumb fairy tale like the rest of us!!"
"Okay!" The bard said, "The other maidens failed because they were strangers, right? I think I'll have a chance with you because we've opened up to each other to some extent."
     "Dude, I don't even know you're name."
His face paled. " I don't remember mine at all."
I narrowed my eyes in confusion. Then realized, "how long have you been cursed, bard?"
     "Too long to count."
The sunlight was closing in behind us.
     The bard was desaturating.
     "H-hey!" I panicked.
But he smiled to himself. "Maybe, the maidens will return if I disappear."
"Or they might disappear with you!" I looked around the village, and those bastards still weren't awake.
"Then," I held his shoulders. "Take me along!"
     The sun shone upon us.
In a desperate attempt, I hugged the bard. Whispering, loud enough for him to hear, "I just have to hold you, right?"
And I felt his dripping tears on my shoulder, as he hugged me back tight.
