It's a beautiful day, so I'm sitting in the park to enjoy it. The lake in front of me shimmers brightly in the late evening sun. It's so enthralling, and it keeps me grounded when my thoughts try to wonder.

I've been in New York for a while now, and everyone has been so supportive and kind to me, making sure I adjust well to the city again. But I do have to say, I want change. And not like me leaving again type of change, more "I need a new look" type of change. My hair has grown out a lot, so my black roots aren't really just roots anymore. I was thinking of having another girl's day with April since we haven't done that in a while, but I think I'm just gonna do something now.

I grab the sai Raph gifted me and pull my hair back before quickly slicing it. I can't help but sigh as I no longer feel the weight of hair on my tense shoulders. "Hmm~ Feels nice," I sigh again with a content smile, enjoying the sun's warm rays on my skin.

I used to be...different. That's something I said what feels like forever ago. But this time, I like the new me. The boys have helped me become stronger, April has helped me realize my worth, and Splinter has helped me find myself through meditation. I have so much to thank them for, and I do that by helping them with problems or just being there in general. They always tell me I've done so much for them; I don't really see it, but I kinda just go with it. All I really have to say is...I love these guys so much more than I realized I ever could.

Raph is always hyping me up when I work out and train, Mikey loves my jokes and makes sure I know how much he does, Donnie is always telling me how smart I am, and Leo...Leo is always complimenting me and my leadership skills. These guys are always teasing me too. I never get a break from their sly side comments. They get me all flustered and they know it. I swear, sometimes I just want to punt them across the city.

"Eh?" I furrow my brows as I look around, the sun is already setting over the horizon. I hum and stand up, brushing the dirt and leafs off my clothes. Just as I'm about to make my way home, my phone starts ringing. A small smile crosses my lips as I notice who the caller is. "Hi, Mikey!" 🧡 "Hellloooo~ Angelcakes!" "How can I help you on this fine evening?" 🧡 "Well for starters, you can get your fine self over to that one building... You know the one." I huff, feeling my face heat up, "Yeah, yeah. I know the one. I'll be there, Mikey." 🧡 "Bye, love~ See you soon!" 💜 "Tell Akari I said hi! Mikey, tell her I saID HI!!" I giggle while shaking my head as the turtles continue to bicker. "Hi, Donnie!!" 💜 "Oh! She heard me! She said hi!" 💙 "Yeah, Donnie, we heard her." I hear Leo sigh. 🧡 "I gotta go before Raph blows a fuse. See you soon, Angelcakes~!" "See you soon, bubs," I hang up and groan as I stretch out my tired limbs. I gotta prepare myself for a possible code red/red. If it was Leo it would be code red/blue and so on so forth.

Mikey and I came up with the code system so we would know what we were getting ourselves into. "I guess I should leave before there's a code red/rainbow." I shiver at the thought.

"I'm here!!" I huff and bend over to try and catch my breath. 🧡 "Woah!" "Is something wrong, Mikey?" I sigh as I straighten my back but groan as it pops rather loudly. 🧡 "You, your hair is...short." "Oh, do you...like it?" 🧡 "Are you serious?" "I guess not..?" I press my lips together as I furrow my brows. 🧡 "Of course I like it! I've never seen you with short hair! It looks so good, Angelcakes!" 'Sigh.' "That's such a relief." 💜 "Yeah it l-looks good, Hato." "I'm really glad you guys like it," I beam, feeling really confident all of a sudden. ❤️ "It's definitely...different." "Oh... You don't like it?" I mumble, subconsciously running my fingers through the ends. ❤️ "I didn't say that." Leo rolls his eyes before finally chiming in, 💙 "You look beautiful, Tenshi." "Thank you, Leo." I look down, trying to hide my flustered face.

"So, what's the plan?" 🧡 "Oh, yeah! We're gonna get pizza and watch the game at the stadium. Do you wanna come?" "Uh, duh! How could you even ask that?!" 🧡 "Haha~ I knew you'd want to come. I told you guys. I know my Angelcakes," Mikey says almost mockingly as he wraps an arm around my shoulder. I playfully roll my eyes and move away. 🧡 "Awe~ Why'd you leave me?" He pouts but it quickly turns into a smirk as he starts chasing me. "Ahh! Mikey, stop!" I can't help but laugh as I hide behind Leo. "NooOoO-! Mikey, please!" 🧡 "It's too late, Angelcakes. I've already got my eyes set on you! You can't leave me now." ❤️ 'Sigh.' "Mikey, bro, you really need to word things better." 🧡 "Why? She is mine." I groan and hide my face in Leo's shell—He chuckles and steps to the side before wrapping an arm around my shoulder. 💙 "Are you getting shy, Tenshi?" "Huh?! No of course not!" He chuckles, his beautiful blue eyes not leaving my own. We continue to stare into each other's eyes, neither of us dare look away. 'Is he leaning closer?'

🧡 "Hey! That's not fair!" "Huh?" I quickly glance at Mikey, brows furrowed in confusion. "What's not fair?" 🧡 "You still owe me a kiss! I'm gonna be your first!" "My...first?" I tilt my head to the side then cover my mouth once my dirty mind sets in. "I, uh, um, uh, I don't, that's not-" My breathing increases and I cover my face. "Mikey~! You can't say that!" I practically whine into my palms. 🧡 "Why not?... Oh. OH! Haha! I didn't know you had such a dirty mind, Angelcakes." "Ugh! Shut up, Mikey!" I snap at the 'orange' turtle, pupils slightly dilated as my cheeks flush a deep scarlet. 💙 "Akari!" "What?!" I snap at Leo—He huffs while rolling his eyes. 🧡 "Relax, Akari. You know I didn't mean it like that... Or did I?" Mikey smirks. I angrily pout and turn away from him. 🧡 "Awe~ Don't pout, Angelcakes. I'm just messing with you."

💜 "Hey, guys..? We should leave now if we want to get there on time." 🧡 "Oh yeah! Let's go guys!" Mikey excitedly grabs my wrist, pulling me towards the edge of the building. "Yeah. Wooo." ❤️ "Oh come on, you can do better than that, shortcakes." "You don't want to hear me scream, Raph." ❤️ "Who says?" He smirks, slowly licking his lips as he looks me up and down. "Leo...make sure there's cherry blossoms at my funeral, please." 💙 "Haha~ You're not gonna die, Akari. Not anytime soon." "You never know." 💙 "Let's not talk about that." "Alright, alright. Let's go! WOOooOOo!!!" Raph chuckles while shaking his head. ❤️ "Better."
