Chpt. 9 | 女の子を捕まえる

{Capture The Girl}

𝟛𝕣𝕕 ℙ𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟 ℙ𝕆𝕍~

             A tank, yes, a tank, is what Beebop and Rocksteady are using to drive through the dense jungles of Brazil. The song War by Edwin Starr plays loudly on Beebop's device.

             🟣 "War! Hugh-Ha! What is it good for?" 🔴 "Absolutely nothing Beebs." Rocksteady sings before slapping a mosquito on his face. 🟣 "Ha-ha! We found it!" Beebop cheers as he stares up at the giant rock that's encasing the device they've been looking for. Rocksteady shoots a small missile at the structure, causing debris to fly everywhere. The two begin digging through said debris until they finally grab the device. 🟣 "Lookee here. I like it." 🔴 "Boss, boss, we did it! We did it! We got that super-important-thingy- kind-of-hard-thing-to-find thing." Shredder and the others watch as the hybrids wave the device in the camera, excited to show their mission was successful. 🟣 "Move, move. Move your head over. He's got to see me. Hey, boss!"

             "They have the final piece and are heading back." "Countdown to the big show is officially on. And we are ready for action!" Stockman goes to high-five Shredder but puts his hand down as the murderer stares at him with an unamused expression. "All systems are, uh... standing by. Can you taste it, Sensei Shredder? The magnificence of what we're about to do? Yummy, isn't it?"

             🧡 "Aren't there supposed to be, like, pretty stewardesses handing out warm hand towels and stuff?" Mikey groans as he wipes the sweat that's coating his face. Raph lightly smiles as he bounces a ball against the plane's floor. ❤️ "Not down here, Mikey. Not for us." "Hah~ It's so hot," Akari exhales as she lays against the metal floor, hoping to find some sort of relief from the humid temperatures. "Why would you want warm hand towels anyways? I feel like I'm melting as it is." Mikey chuckles and wraps his arms around Akari before picking her up. She sighs heavily as she leans into his somewhat cool skin; Her eyes flutter closed as she hums happily.

             💜 "Oh, boy. Bebop and Rocksteady are en route back to New York." Everyone's attention turns towards Donnie as he types away on his holograms. Akari gets out of Mikey's arms before approaching the 'purple' turtle. 💙 "What?" 💜 "They must have already retrieved the last piece they needed to open the portal." 💙 "Looks like our planes about to cross over theirs, right?" 💜 "Yeah, with a 3,000-foot separation. Uh, I could plot a course for intercept, but we'd have to jump." ❤️ "Jump?" Raph asks as his pupils dilate; Mikey is standing in the background with a big, goofy grin. Akari glances over at Raph with a worried expression. She's never seen him look so afraid; well, maybe when she died and then almost died again... four times, maybe five, possibly six. You definitely get the point.

             ❤️ "Oh, boy. Guys, I don't know if this is such a good plan." 🧡 "Oh, Come on, don't go getting soft on me now, Raph! This is gonna be fun!" "It'll be okay." Akari gently places her hand against Raph's bicep. His wide eyes stare into her own as he tries to put on a brave face. She smiles reassuringly before slowly approaching the open door. "Looks dangerous," she breathes with a smile that continues to grow. "I like it." Leo stares at the smaller woman with so much adoration, and maybe just a hint of something else. He knows he screwed up with the things he's said and done. But everyone deserves a second chance... right?

             💜 "We got to go now. We only have a 30-second window. You know the plan." Donnie waves before jumping out; Akari laughs airily as she watches him glide down to the next plane. Leo is currently helping Raph put on a parachute, since the giant turtle refuses to jump without one. 🧡 "Uh... dudes?" 💙 "What?" 🧡 "He jumped." Leo and Raph turn at the same time, fear and more fear crossing Raph's face. ❤️ "He jumped?!"
