it felt like the two of you had been walking for years, but wanda seemed perfectly fine. she noticed that you weren't following behind her and turned around. she sighed at the state you were in, "y/n we've barely walked." she puts her hands on her hips while you tried to catch your breath.

"barely? my legs are about to fall off!" you shout, not caring if you were being dramatic.

you could hear her giggle, "want me to carry you then." wanda opens her arms out to you as you scoff at her. "shut up up." you say, walking towards her and flipping her off.

"hey what was that for?" she asks in a playful voice. "you've been an asshole this entire walk, and i haven't seen a hotel!" you complain at her, you didn't realise that she was smirking at you. "your so petty it's ridiculous." wanda whispers.

wanda reaches for her bag and searches for her phone. "i'm sure google maps can help us." she murmurs and realises that there was no data on her phone. "shit."

"what?" you walk over to look at her phone, and saw that there was no service. "we are screwed." you rub your face with your hands, and moan into them.

"like things couldn't get any worse." wanda says and turns her phone off, putting it back in her bag. "let's just camp somewhere." she suggests and you gave her the are you stupid look.

"wanda we haven't got any camping gear, it's going to be freezing tonight." you tell her as she shakes her head. "fine then we have to keep walking." wanda adjusts the strap on her shoulder and continues to walk away, you look around before going after her.

"its starting to get dark." she speaks up. it was so late that there were barely any cars on the roads. "wait is that a hotel." you say pointing to a building, wanda looked in your direction and gasped.

"see i knew we would come across a hotel eventually!" she says and without realizing. she grabbed your hand and started walking at a quicker pace. you looked down at your hands intertwined and thought about telling her, but didn't.

as the two of you walked into the hotel, wanda held the door open for you. "what a-"
"-don't even think about it." wanda glared at you and you couldn't help but laugh.

it was a standard hotel. there was nothing special about it. you both walked up to the desk and one of the workers greeted you. "hello! have you booked any rooms?" she asks. wanda side eyes you. signaling for you to speak but you hadn't noticed.

"no. we were planning on getting a room tonight?" wanda speaks up. you looked back at her and was confused from her annoyed stare. it was broken though by the lady, who was asking for your names. "oh y/n and wanda." you quickly say.

the lady then asked for you to pay. you had brought your card with you anyways. so you swiped it easily and put it back in your bag. "room 104." the women smiled and handed you a key card.
