The letters didn't stop. And the letters continued till the night before Harry's 11th birthday midnight on the dot there was a knock, then it got louder. Vernon was the one to open the door."We don't want any packages and great heavens learn to tell time it's midnight, a complete wanker you are for dragging me out of bed at this hour." He said, arms crossed.

The figure the one in front eyes flashed to gold from brown fora spilt second. "This is a matter that can't wait." Remus said. "I'm here to see Harry."

"There's no one here by that name." Said Vernon.

"Yes, Harry James Potter is here." Remus argued. Voldemort's mouth dropped, Remus' godson was Harry Potter? Voldemort closed his mouth and stayed silent.

"I'm Harry." The boy said standing up. "Who are you?"

"I'm Remus Lupin your godfather. This is Thomas Gaunt a- a friend." He said pointing to Voldemort.

"Seeing as Hogwarts is about to start we're going to take you supply shopping." Voldemort said looking to Remus to see if it was okay.

"He will not be going!" Vernon snapped.

"The hell I won't!" Harry said standing behind the strangers, wanting to be anywhere but there. "Whatever you're planning you should do it now." Harry whispered to the others.

With a crack the three of them were gone leaving a very confused and angry family alone.

The house that they landed in was darkened. "How'd you do that?" Harry demanded.

"Magic. Harry do you know anything about your past?" Remus asked.

"No." He answered "Magic isn't real."

"Okay one your parents died due to their side during a magical war, I think they would disagree." Voldemort said.

"But- my parents died in a car crash." Harry said slowly and very unsure.

"Fucking muggles." Remus mumbled. "Have you ever made something happen, when you were angry or scared?" He asked, Harry's eyes lit up. "I'm guessing by that look you have."

"Harry everyone in the Wizarding world knows your name I'm guessing that's why your last name wasn't given to me." Voldemort said looking at Remus who just shrugged.

"But how does everybody know about me?" Harry asked, confused.

Tom spoke up again "You defeated one of the greatest wizards as a baby."

"But I'm just Harry." The boy said confused.

"No one's really sure how you did it. So don't stress about it cub." Remus said fluffing Harry's hair.

"So my parents named you my godfather?"

Remus smiled. "No actually I got that right by marrying your godfather, me and your parents were also close too." Remus said. "Technically your godfather preferred the term dogfather but that's cause he loved his puns.
