Sorting this Out

The sorting lasted awhile and Harry tuned it out until he heard a name he recognized. "Malfoy Draco." Harry watched at the hat barely touched Draco's hair before it yelled out Slytherin. Draco grinned at Harry before sitting down before next to the twins.

Harry waited it would soon be his turn. "Potter Harry." Harry walked up to the stool trying to ignore the whispers from the Great Hall.

"Hmm, difficult very difficult. Plenty of courage. Not a bad mind. There's talent and a thirst to prove yourself. But where to put you?" The hat asked.

"The House I'll do best in please." Harry whispered.

"Well then better be- Slytherin!"

Harry went over to his table and sat next to Draco happily. The hall was quiet till the Slytherins started cheering.

The Bloody Baron went down their table scarring the crap out of some first years and even a few second years "Who is that, with the black hair?" Harry asked

"That's my godfather Severus Snape, I was telling you about him." Draco answered.

"That's who Remus said I should trust." Harry said turning back to his meal.

They ate then sang the school song then Snape led them down a bunch of stares. "The passwords magic, don't forget it." Snape said. "Slytherins the best house in the school however due to or reputation we are also the most hated house. Stick together, keep out of trouble and if you do something wrong-" He stopped looking at the Weasley twins. "Don't get caught. Girls stairs are to the left boys are to the right, you can't get in to the opposite genders dorm so don't even try." Snape explained.

The first years made there way up to their new dorms but Harry couldn't get in. "Draco the doors stuck." Harry said but Draco opened it just fine Harry panicked maybe he wasn't a wizard.

"Come on Harry."

"I can't." He said worried.

"Let's go talk to Severus then." Draco said grabbing Harry's hand. But Snape wasn't in the common room. "He's probably in his quarters, let's go find him."

"What do you thinks wrong." Harry asked Draco.

"I don't know. You're a boy right?"

"Duh." Harry said.

"Uncle Sevy!" Draco said knocking on his door.

"I told you not to call me that. What do you want? You should be in bed." Severus said gesturing the two inside.

"Harry can't get into the dorms." Draco said.
