A/N- this is probably one of my favorite chapters I hope you guys like it even if it was late.
Time passed around Hogwarts quite until Halloween came around. When the Great Hall was decorated with floating pumpkins and candy on the tables, Dumbledore stood at the podium. "Everyone we have something a little different this evening, a resortment, this only happens so often so don't think you can all do this."
Unlike the start of the year no one called the girl's name. She looked small, she wore long rainbow earrings made out of beads and wore Ravenclaw robes. After what felt like forever the hat yelled. "Slytherin!"
"This is Miss Lovegood." The girl stood up."is now in Slytherin." Dumbledore said. Lovegood walked to the Slytherin table looking confused as to where to sit.
"Here sit with us." Harry offered.
The girl sat down between Blaise and Harry. "Hello." She said in a whispy voice that sounded very light "I'm Luna."
"I'm Harry, this is Draco that's Blaise and she's Pansy-" before Harry could finish introductions Quirrell ran in.
"Troll, troll in the dungeon!" He yelled. "Thought you better know." He said before fainting.
The room was in chaos. "Now." Dumbledore said once the room was calm. "If everyone will please follow the prefects to their dorms."
"The Slytherin dorms are in the dungeons!" Harry yelled across the Hall causing the other Slytherins to start complaining.
"Somethings wrong." Harry whispered to Draco.
"You are correct Potter." Luna said in her soft voice. "Somethings going to happen and I have a feeling you will be at the center, look at all those Watsperts."
Ok, Harry thought, she's either a seer or she's nuts.
The Slytherins ended up staying in the Great Hall eating some of the Halloween candy and shoving a lot of it in their robe pockets.
Luna looked at Harry. "Your hair's very pretty Potter." She said.
"Thanks." Harry said he had gotten more hate then anything so that was nice. "You can call me Harry." He offered.
"You're welcome. Would you like to learn how to braid it?" She offered.
By the time some Gryfindors, Hermione, Ron, and Dean had gotten in trouble for trying to fight the troll, Luna had braided Harry's hair, he had braided hers, and they had the smallest braids in Draco's hair.
A/N- I can just imagine Draco snearing while they braid his hair but he actually doesn't mind. Sorry for the late update
