Dumb prophecy

That night while the Slytherins were getting ready for bed Harry turned to Draco. "Hey thanks for standing up for me today." Harry said brushing through his hair

"Of course would you have done the same for me?" Draco asked, now that the blonde had showered his hair was fluffy.

Harry sat there for a second. "Yes, but no ones ever stood up for me although Remus has come close." Harry said.

Draco looked thoughtful. "I don't think about stuff like that I'm lucky enough to have both parents someone to stand up for you. I'm sorry."

"It's okay you didn't kill them." Harry said with a small reassuring smile.

"Still its not fair that you had your life turned upside down becuase of some dumb prophecy."

"Wait what do you mean?"

"There was this saying one cannot live while the other survives. I heard my Uncle Sev talk about it when I was younger."Draco explained.

"Ughhh, this is to much information for one day." Harry said hiding his head under a pillow with a green case.

"You okay?" Draco asked

"Yep, I'm just thinking. You've been a great friend you know that?"

"OK just talk to me if you ever need too" Draco said.

"Yes of course now go to bed we have defense 1st thing in the morning and I'm gonna need some sleep." Harry said

Draco grinned "Harry you're several chapters ahead and I are 2 chapters ahead we're good." he joked

Harry tossed the pillow at his friend "go to bed" he said with a laugh

"You're both twats and some of us aren't nerds" Blaise grumbled a joke from his bed

Despite saying that he was going to bed Harry closed his curtain and opened his potions but worked through several chapters of his homework before starting to think, Draco really had everything a family, his parents, sure Harry had Remus and Tom but Harry was jealous wait no he wasn't gonna let jealously come between him and his best friend. Harry closes book after chapter 10 Draco would want to catch up a right after him.
