Holy... ballz...

Finally... frikin FINALLY!!!

We are FINALLY reaching the end of the Calyrex Chapter. Dear Fxxk that took WAY longer than it should have.

I won't try to make excuses and say that I was busy. That has already been done to death.

But this was again, one of the hardest chapters I had ever written. Not because of the length (although it has over TEN THOUSAND words), but the display of characterization I had to create.

There will be many key points in this Chapter that will not only develop Ash's current character, but will act as development for the many future chapters ahead!

But the biggest reason why this took so long was because unlike Giratina, Ash had to properly bond with Calyrex. After all, the two have never met before.

And for those who are afraid that Ash will always act scared, you don't have to worry. this will probably be the last time we see a cowardly/scared Ash (emphasis on "probably"). And even then, it won't be as nearly as bad as this one.

"Pika..."

For the umpteenth time, the yellow mouse look up towards his unconscious trainer with concern.

Ash was knocked out completely, drenched in sweat and cold from the weather. Pikachu nudged his fur with his trainer's body, trying to warm him up even a little.

"......"

Charizard was just as equally concerned. The dragon flew slowly and gently, making sure to not worsen the condition of Ash.

Both of them couldn't shake a certain thought off their minds.

Just why was Ash acting so strange today?

Flashback

"Pika?!"

The yellow mouse exclaimed in worry.

Ash was a mess. He was down on his knees, clutching his chest. His breath was ragged and heavy. His body was cold from sweat. His face was visibly pale.

"P-pika?!"

Pikachu carefully walked towards his trainer.

But as soon as he touched the trainer.

"N-NO!"

Pikachu flinched as Ash swung his arms. Fortunately, Ash raised his hand straight. Thanks to Pikachu's small stature, the attack only hit air as the mouse Pokémon was on the boy's knees.

But this only caused Pikachu - and Charizard behind the duo - to become increasingly worried.

"D-don't come closer to me!"

As soon as he finished, Ash staggered back a few steps.

"S-stop- Ah!"

The poor boy stumbled and fell. While - fortunately - there were no injuries thanks to the thick layer of snow, this only signified how bad Ash's condition was.

"P-pika! Pika-Pi!"

Pikachu hastily turned to Charizard, the latter nodding with a serious face.
