A/N: This chapter is still halfway under revision, and the following ones are the original versions, so please expect inconsistency all throughout the rest of the story.
First Impression
Lea quietly settled on the dining table, creating a soft thud against the stillness of the mansion as she sat on the center seat, dressed simply and comfortably in her favorite dark blue Uniqlo hanging blouse and a pair of pants.
"Good morning, nanang!" She greeted warmly, placing her laptop on the table.
"Good morning din, iha. May gusto ka para sa breakfast?" Nanang Selda questioned, wipping her hands.
"Anything you cooked po, it's fine. And a cup of coffee, please." She requested politely, unfolding her laptop to start her day with productivity as she replied to emails and checked documents.
She was in the middle of conducting a message when she suddenly remembered the encounter the night prior, the dumb look on the guys face flashing in her mind before she could process the barging thought.
Lea roamed her eyes, mindlessly searching for the new presence. She glanced at Nanang Selda who was occupied by mandating one of the helper, hands gently cuffed behind her back. She contemplated if she should ask the old woman, her mouth parting and closing in indecisiveness.
As she made up her mind and was about to ask about him, a whole meal with a cup of coffee was then served in front of her. Just then, an unfamiliar rhythm set a different ambiance to the house as a manly presence budged in the kitchen.
"Hello, good morning!" The voice was merely registering to her head, so she glanced up and there, she saw the man from last night.
"Oh, iho. Gising ka na pala. Lea, bagong personal body guard mo daw?" Her forehead creased, but she immediately smoothed it as she remembered his purpose.
"Yes po." Nanang Selda nodded her head then proceeded to excuse herself.
The man stood awkwardly by the arch, ineptly waiting for any instruction. A moment of silent occured before they realized that someone has to break it.
"What's your name?" Lea started, eyes still on the screen of her gadget.
"Ahh... Aga?" He sounded indecisive about his answer that made Lea glance at him. She raised her eyebrows at his tone, a reflex she couldn't deny, one she does when conversations are not held properly.
"Why are you asking me? Ako ba may-ari ng palangan?" She sternly questioned, a frown forming on her face when he chuckled. Is he mocking her?
He silenced upon noticing the look on her face—disapproving and annoyed. He cleared his throat, adjusting his seat as he grimaced upon Lea's darting stare, as if waiting, as if judging his entirety.
"Pangalan. But yeah, I'm Aga."
"Okay. Your name is Aga only?"
"No! Ay! hindi ano—Alberto Gabo Balbakal, at your service." He stated his whole name, once again, Lea did a face which Aga noticed and pointed out. "Why? Is there something wrong with my name?"
"No, no. It's just...don't be offended, but it's kind of mabaho?" Truth to behold, Lea's tongue can be quite sharp. Not that she does it when she knows she'll hurt someone, but being honest is one of her motto.
Aga scoffed, offended by her comment, surprised at her sharpness. "My name? That's... pretty harsh." He acted as if he was hurt.
"Yeah... good thing you're called Aga. Alberto Gago doesn't really sound right." Lea added, her face twisting as his name slipped of her mouth, tasting funny.
