Too Much or Lack?
Ever since Aga's confession, the man seemed to posses a different version of himself. He was still annoying, as always. However, unlike before where he pester Lea almost every free minute of her life, the Personal Guard has been using his time with her to either give her some flowers and chocolates, or talk to her about her day.
It was like that day, Lea finished her paperwork earlier than expected, Aga always trailing behind her, it was no surprise when he do all the "gentleman" stuff like opening the car door or strapping her seat belt.
"Where are we going?" Lea questioned as she willingly entered the vehicle. "Is he going to kidnap me again?"
"For you, wife." He pulled something from his side of the car and gave it to Lea. It was a dozen of her favorite flower; peonies, decorated with lavenders. Perhaps that's why the whole car smelt like lavender.
"What's this for?" Although she took it, Lea was still adamant of what Aga has given her.
"For you. Can't I give my wife a bouquet of flowers?" He gave the question back, shrugging his shoulders.
"Technically, you can. But—"
"Hep! Hep! I can give anyone flowers, period. But I won't just give anyone, because my service is only for my wife." He started the engine as he was still looking at her, winking.
"Whatever you say." Lea nonchalantly muttered as she placed the flowers on her lap, from time to time, admiring the natural beauty of it.
It wasn't her first time receiving flowers, with every interview and guesting she's attended, at the very end of programs, she would attain bunch of flowers that almost cover her face.
Albeit, she doesn't know why she was touched with what Aga gave her. It wasn't the most expensive nor the grandest bouquet she was ever given, but Lea brainstormed on where to place it in their room. She badly wants to display it.
"We're here, misis." Aga called for her attention as he used the endearment. Lea looked out of the car as her eyes glistened once the warm lights of the small LED bulbs hit her eyes.
Lea wasn't her usual self that day, her mind was too occupied to even think of anything outside work. Reason why she didn't notice where they were going, or how long they've been driving.
The door beside her opened as Aga offered his hand. Lea took her seat belt off, adjusted the flowers, and took her husband's palm.
"Surprise?" It was more of a question as Lea starred at the set up. "Don't you like it? We can eat somewhere else -"
"Shush, I'm seizing the view, and the air." Lea closed her eyes as the cold kiss of the wind caressed her body. The hair that have fallen on her face was taken with a swift of blow as it fell back for once more.
As she opened her eyes, Lea bended as she took off her stilettos, suddenly running from the cemented path to the prolific grains of sand towards the shore.
Aga chuckled as his wife turned for a few times, hugging what he has given her. She then let herself weaken as she collapsed on the ground. He immediately went after to check on her. Instead of looking hurt, Lea looked calmed, she was solemnly laying down on her back.
The man couldn't find the right words, so he just kept his mouth shut and followed her actions. He adored her side view as he tilted his head right-way. Their eyes then met when Lea looked on her left, feeling a stare of something loving on her.
"You're making me happy, I appreciate this." She then sat up and straightened her arm to him, holding the flowers on the other.
"Come on, I'm hungry." Lea told him. Aga grabbed her as he slid his arms on her shoulders. She squatted, which freed her from the cage of his broad biceps.
