The whole room was cold and dimmed, opposite of all the heat that occurred that night—or mornight—prior. Lea wrapped the comforter tighter and closer to her nakedness as the cool blowing of the air conditioner gave consciousness to her restless yet satisfied body. She rolled to the other side, seeking for the warmth of her husband.
"Aga?" She called for his name when she didn't feel him beside her.
Her lips pouted and her mood shifted. She would've loved some cuddles the morning after their steamy lovemaking, but then, the man she just expressed her adornment with had just suddenly vanished. Without a foreword.
She sat down to reach for some of her clothes when she noticed a tray with food on top of her side table.
'Good morning, PIM!
I'm sorry if you woke up without me by your side, I needed to leave for work. I gave your morning cuddles and kisses earlier before I left, I just didn't wake you up because I know how tired you are. Here's some breakfast, please eat before leaving. I also prepared your stuff na and picked up some clothes for you to choose from, I hope you like my taste. I love you!
—Morning.'
Suddenly, Lea's face brightens up with the cheesy lines and tactic he had left for her. At least he was considerate enough to serve her breakfast and prepare her needs to start that day.
With a sore body, Lea stretched her arm to reach for the folded clothes at the other side of the bed. As she was having her breakfast, a knock came on the door.
"Nanay?" A muffled voice called from outside, barriered by the thick wood that encloses the room.
"Come in!" Lea permitted as she munched on the waffle she had just bitten, savoring the party in her mouth.
The door creaked as it slowly opened. The angel-like face of her little one welcomed her, with Elli's hair a little disheveled and her eyes still puffy.
"Good morning po." Elli greeted, still groggy, rubbing her eye with her right hand and dragging a bear with her left. She climbed the bed, one foot at a time, the other one on the mattress, the pair hanging as it tiptoe to reach the floor for support. She then laid on Lea's body as she succeeded, snuggling close.
"Good morning, honey." Lea adjusted her position to let Elli lay more comfortably, declining her back and moving her waist further, acting like a pillow.
"Still sleepy, my love?" Her hand traveled around the little girl's body, stroking her back. Elli just hummed as a response, her mind still wandering and dissociated from the real world because of the dream she just had.
"Do you want breakfast? Let's share." Lea offered as she shoved another bite in her mouth. She felt against her chest how Elli shook her head a little so she just let her be as she proceeded with her munching.
She then reached for her phone once more and opened the internet. That's when her notification bursted like a bomb that was planted without her knowledge. Her eyes flickered upon seeing a scandalous photo going around the media; her heart pumping blood faster with every comment that instills in her mind.
