Revelation and Jealousy

Evidence of resting from the ruthless world is recognizable as the cacophony of cars, orchestrated voices, and bright lights silenced to tranquility. The trees ruffled along the shivering howling of the wind; the sky shone through the aid of the celestial bodies.

The couple settled in their bed, the soft mattress absorbing the exhaustion that weighs down their body. Lea forestalled herself, aiming for the cloth to add a layer to her revealed skin.

It seems as if her name was being whispered by the howling of the wind, besotted by the peaking brightness of the moon which she trailed as she felt like floating towards the veranda.

Lea, embraced by her robe, her long hair flowing with the wind, glazed out as she watched over the city, fulfillment engulfing her pride seeing the place she leads in peace. She sighed as the cold breeze of the air made the pang in her heart intensify as if fueling tightening of her cardiovascular organ.

A pair of manly hands then encircled her waist, she didn't need to look back as the warmth of his presence and familiarity of his scent already gives away his identity.

"You've been quiet and bothered, PIM. Why?" Aga asked in a worrisome tone as he rested his chin on her shoulder. Just by the hug he gave her, he knew that his wife was burdened by something.

Lea unclasped his arms as she faced him. She can't handle all the emotions flowing through her system anymore. She's about to burst out in so much problem that's been coming.

The city had some discrepancies. It's been needing her attention for the past couple of days. She's been attending countless meetings to address issues that citizens has been seeking an aid for.

Then, there came her company on which financial statements has had backlogs for the past couple of months. There were transactions that are out of her knowledge and it's been losing money for God knows why.

Finally, the truth about Elli's identity. How her little girl has amnesia and that she's not really her true self. How she's been under the care of a person she dislikes and the eagerness of the child to know her true dad.

Lea's mind and heart can't take it anymore. It feels so full that she can feel both beating in agony. The only way she can ameliorate what she's feeling is to let it all out. She needs someone to listen, and there's her husband who's willingly offering himself.

"Remember when we celebrated Elli's birthday at the orphanage?" Lea questioned rhetorically. Of course, he'd remember. How can he not when it was the first time they have officially celebrated the birthday of his beloved little girl?

"Uh-huh, then?" He lent his ears. Every aspect of his senses to her, he bestowed, all open to absorb the cynical energy.

He flinched when he noticed a tear race down from her eyes. He came closer as he gently cupped her face and hastily brushed it with his thumb.

"Goodness! Why are you crying? Did someone hurt you there? Did something happen?" He didn't know what to do. He was unaware of the reason why his beloved wife's sudden tearing and nothingness occurred as he tries to recall an instant that day that may have caused her somber.

Lea remained silent as she took her time to gather herself. There came the tugging of her heart to her throat as if locking it which disables her to expound herself. Her head shook a 'no' for a couple of times as a sob eluded.

"Hey? Why?" He questioned once more, his mind being digested by the heaviness of the atmosphere. The melancholic ambiance that she resorts adding negativity to his notions.
