juliana's pov:
me and belly get to the top of the stairs and spilt ways. i walk to my room.
the same white walls as last time, the same seashells in a bowl, the same everything.
when i came down to cousins beach the first time susannah welcomed me with open arms. i never experienced the love given to me at home as i did there. my home wasn't with my family it was here, in the beach house.
so many memories have been made here and i don't know what i would have done without it.
i open my suitcase and start taking clothes out. i'm putting my clothes in my closet and drawers as jeremiah come in.
"what's up" he says pointing finger guns at me.
"just the ceiling." i reply blankly.
"oh come on, jules. you always do that" he says laughing a bit.
"whoops! well i'm done packing." i say putting the last hanger in my closet.
"yay! let's go swimming before dinner."
"hmm, let me check with belly. i think her mom wanted us to go to her book signing."
"yeah that's chill. you can bring her too! it'll be just like old times."
"i'd like that."

"belly!" i say walking into her room.
"yes?"
"so i know your mom wanted us yo go to the book signing, but wanna go swim instead? jeremiah invited us to go before dinner."
"i would but i should really go with mom."
"okay, then i'll come with you!"
"no, no. jules just go with jeremiah, i'll be okay don't worry."
"what? are you sure bels?"
"yes, of course."
"thank you." i say pulling her in for a hug.

i walk back to my room and close the door to change. i put on a blue floral bikini i got this spring and leave my room with a towel.
i start going down the stairs and bump into conrad.
"shit, sorry" i say before he can get a word out.
"no worries, just watch where you're going next time jules." he replies coldly.
maybe i was wrong. maybe conrad fisher couldn't change.
i see jeremiah on the porch and walk towards him.
"i'm ready, let's go!"
"where's belly?"
"i tried convincing her, but she said she has to go with laurel to whale of a tale." i answer.
"oh, okay!"
we start walking our way to the beach.
"god, i missed it here in cousins." i say to no one in particular.
