(takes place after the dark side ending of Journey to Godhood)
It has been 2 years since Obe lost Luna...
Since the team CRDL confrontation, Obe had been distant towards everyone, even Luna he's been avoiding. Everyone has been getting worried about Obe, right now they are gathered in team RWBY's dorm room discussing the topic. The ones present are team RWBY, team JNPR, team CVFY and Luna.
Ruby: Obe has been acting weird lately. *looks at Luna* Do you have any idea why?
Luna: *shakes her head sadly* No, I wish I did.
Yang: I know one thing for sure, *everyone looks at her* something is bothering him.
Jaune: Doesn't explain why he's been avoiding everyone though.
Ren: Maybe that's what we should try to find out.
Weiss: What? Like, spy on him?
Blake: That might help us find out what's going on with him.
Pyrrha: Is that a good idea though? He could sense us.
Nora: I think it's worth the risk.
Ruby: All in favor of spying on Obe, say aye.
All: Aye
???: Aye.
They all turn to the doorway to see Ozpin and Glynda are there.
Yang: Professor Ozpin and Glynda?
Ozpin: We've been curious as well about young Obelisk's behavior, and if you all are trying to figure it out, *looks at Glynda who nods at him* then we want to provide whatever assistance we can.
Luna: Thank you both. *they all stand* Do you know where he's going right now?
Ozpin: Yes I do miss Luna. *pulls scroll out* He's going to board a bullhead that's going to downtown Vale. If we hurry, we can get on without him noticing.
They all hurry to the Bullhead and see Obe boarding it. The entire group gets on without him noticing them thankfully. After a while, the Bullhead lands and everyone gets off and head to the rooftops so they can spy on Obe. They see him, in his normal attire, going towards the main marketplace, he's seen looking at baskets.
Obe: Hmmm... *thinking of which to buy*
Shopkeeper: If this is for a romantic picnic, *gestures to another basket* I'd recommend this one sir. *smiles at Obe*
Obe: *chuckles a bit* No, it's no romantic picnic, but it is a special occasion. *gives the shopkeeper some money and takes a basket*
This confuses the entire group. They continue to follow Obe all over town as he buys more things they would never expect him to get. Two other things he bought were a candle and a necklace.
