The guards marched us back to the train station, but instead of being filled with terrified excitement, we were now filled with dread. The guards didn't even let go of our arms as they dragged us off the train.
The station was very familiar; every child came here for school. There were posters encouraging reading and apples. I was distressed to see a small red backpack with its straps cut out, and and a little blue race car with a wheel popped off.
The guards led us down the gravel path to the huge school campus. Through the front door, Lori carefully scans the halls, probably for a place to kill us. I hear a sharp gasp, and see Merida, shocked. Her eyes are fixed on a bulletin board next to the kindergarten wing, particularly on a picture of three smiling, black-clad boys. They all looked exactly like Merida.
"Do any of you have any hobbies?" Lori suddenly asked. Hiccup the quietest of us all, answered with such ferocity that we all took a step back. Well, the guards did, and kind of dragged us along.
"Why would we tell you?! You'll just use it against us!"
Lori gave a tight smile. "Ah, but you see, your cooperation will benefit more than your resistance."
"Benefit how? You'll inflict less pain? Hurt less children?" Merida fumed, and I had an idea she wasn't talking about just us anymore. "Because, Lori, I don't think that's what's happening here!" She said, with a grand gesture around her. Her guard wrestled her back into his grip.
"I care about your well-being." Lori said through clenched teeth.
"Our well being?" Merida growled.
Shut up! I thought. Shut up! Shut up! She needs to shut up!Unfortunately, she couldn't hear me. Lori merely glared at he coldly and snapped her fingers. Merida's guard whipped out a knife, and I realized what was going to happen before it did.
"No!" I yelled, and tackled her guard to the ground. Taking advantage of everyone's shock, Punzie freed herself and body slammed the guard to the ground with more force than I'd thought possible.
Lori had lost patience completely. She tackled Punzie, causing Hiccup to break loose and pull her off. We were all fighting Lori, but she was surprisingly good, and managed to take all four of us until the guards took a hint and grabbed us again. Lori leaned on a wall, and, just my luck, right next to the board showing the sports teams, where my football picture was displayed.
"Ah...football I see..." She said, wiping a bit of blood off her mouth. "Guards, lead them outside to the field." They led us outside and forced us to our knees.

So, that's where we are now. I kneel in the grass, staining my pants, and the guard presses a cold shot gun barrel to my head. Lori begins pacing, doing that "This-isn't-easy-but-it's-your-own-fault" speech. Merida turns her head to me.
"It's been nice knowing you, Jack." She says, giving a small smile.
"It's not over Merida. We can still win." But I sound like I'm trying to convince myself. Who am I kidding? We're going to die here and now.
But no, I don't want to leave my friends. I don't want to forget Punzie's smile, Hiccup's constant, if annoying, facts, or (even though I'd never admit it aloud) Merida's personality.
I hear a noise next to me that snaps me out of my thoughts. Punzie, sweet, amity Punzie, has somehow managed to get her guard to the ground she's clutching his gun and shoving her elbow into his back. And, with extreme precision, she shoots Merida's handcuffs.
That's it. Merida kicks her guard in the face and wrenches the bow and quiver from her. My guard lets go of me and attempts to subdue Merida, but a swift kick to the head stops that quickly. Hiccup's guard wisely runs away, towards the empty houses of Candor.
Lori is furious. "I am calling for backup!" She spits, but Hiccup just picks up a bat from one of the guards and knocks her out.
"We need to get out of here, she's going to wake up soon, and I didn't hit her hard enough to give her amnesia." Hiccup says, an we just stare at him in amazement.
"I know just the place." Punzie says and leads us back into the building.
