Eddie Munson has gotten himself into a whole world of trouble throughout his, so far, short existence on earth. From getting caught cheating on tests in middle school, to getting kicked out of home at 14 after a huge fight with his alcoholic parents when they found out about his sexuality, to being a serial killer suspect, to narrowly escaping death from them disgusting demobats and Vecna in the Upside Down.

Yeah, Eddie's life has been one hell of an uphill battle since it started.

But nothing, and he means nothing, is harder than having to face Steve Harrington nearly every day without getting a hard-on.

Prior to the whole end of the world business they dealt with together, Eddie and Steve wouldn't have been caught dead in the presence of one another, especially in High School. Even though Steve never directly acknowledged Eddie's existence, him hanging around with Tommy H and the rest of the nasty jocks who bullied him immensely throughout his time in Hawkins High School made him give the rich kid a wide berth. The only time they ever had a direct interaction was when Steve had to buy some weed from Eddie as he was throwing a massive house party for his 18th birthday. Eddie made a sweet amount off of Steve then, but the money quickly lost its appeal when the younger boy uttered out his first ever sentence to Eddie.

"I'm sorry for what they do to you. You don't deserve it."

He quickly turns and shuffles away, leaving Eddie standing like an idiot with his mouth agape, rose burning his cheeks as his heart stutters ever so slightly. Did he imagine that? Steve Harrington couldn't have actually said those words to him, right? Eddie robotically collects his things from the table in the woods, before making his way home, his head in shambles and his stomach fluttering in a familiar but scary way.

Since that day, Eddie has had Steve in his thoughts one way or another. Even when Steve graduated and he didn't, he always managed to sneak back into the metalhead's mind, even just for a second. But now, after saving the world together and spending nearly every day together, what was once fleeting thoughts about the tan swimmer has become an onslaught of dirty thoughts that Eddie just can't seem to get under control, especially in the presence of Steve. Robin knows (well not about the dirty thoughts so much but his massive crush on Steve) and finds it equal parts hilarious and sad. Sad because she just wants Eddie to be happy after everything he has been through, but knowing that if Steve was gay then she would already know as they are best friends, but that conversation has never happened and she doesn't think it ever will. Hilarious though, because any time Steve so much as looks Eddie's way then the latter becomes a blushing mess and can't seem to keep his composure.

Any time they're together, whether that be at movie nights, parties, smoke sessions in his trailer, or just hanging with the kids, Steve is always so close it hurts. Always grazing off of Eddie in some way or another, his hands brushing the back of Eddie's as he walks past, always claiming the seat next to Eddie much to Dustin's dismay, hand brushing his lower back as he asks Eddie if he wants another drink at parties. Eddie doesn't know why Steve is fond of being near him, because Eddie can barely get out a coherent sentence around the younger man. His smirk always makes Eddie's stomach squirm, his touches always making the blood rush to a certain part south.

So yeah, Eddie doesn't really know what to do for his sanity at this point and he ponders whether he has lost it a long time ago without realising. But he does know one thing for sure.

Steve is dangerous.

It's a Friday evening and Eddie is making his way to Family Video, jamming out to Dio in his van. He pulls into the parking lot before swiftly making his way into the video shop, the bell chiming his entrance. Robin and Steve both looked up from where they were standing by the counter, greeting him quickly before going back to a heated debate.
