I Feel So Untouched

Eddie knows he has been in the bathroom a suspiciously long time, but he's hoping the two girls are too engrossed in the movie and each other (he makes a mental note to ask Robin about that), to notice his disappearance. He doesn't actually do anything when he gets in there, besides throwing some water on his face and loosening the zip on his jeans to relieve some pressure. He takes a deep breath as he looks at himself in the mirror.

"Come on, Munson. Get yourself together," he mutters, smacking his cheek lightly before pointing at his reflection, "Stop acting like a prepubescent teen who gets hard just from holding hands!"

After a 5 minute scolding in the mirror, telling himself to man up and stop letting Steve reduce him down to a nervous mess, Eddie finally joins back with the others. He bares his shoulders back, trying his best to seem confident and unfazed. Luckily, he was right. The girls have barely noticed his absence as the movie is towards the end. Steve doesn't turn to look at him, head leaning on his hand as he watches the movie, but Eddie knows he sees him if the slight widening of his legs indicates anything. Eddie sits back down on the couch, but a bit farther away than before. Steve doesn't acknowledge him for the rest of the movie, staying pretty still bar from taking sips of beer. Eddie shifts uncomfortably every now and then, not sure if he likes that Steve's not teasing him anymore or wants him to tease him into a blubbering mess in front of the girls. He blushes at the thought. Fuck, when did he become such a simp? He huffs annoyed, finishing off his beer just as the movie ends. The girls are giggling as they lift themselves off the floor, Robin tripping slightly as she realises she's more tipsy than she first thought.

"Wanna just stay the night, guys?" Steve suggests, starting to clear up the bottle off the table. Eddie wasn't sure if the invitation was regarding him as well so he just stayed quiet, hearing the girls agree to Steve's request.

"Well, Munson?" Steve asks, but there's none of that flirty tone he normally uses, just his normal voice which has Eddie confused.

"Uh.. sure. Yeah, thanks man." He clears his throat awkwardly, Starting to fold the blankets onto the couch.

"Cool." He turns towards the kitchen with the empty bottles, "Robin and Nance can have the guest bedroom. Eddie, you're in with me."

It's not a suggestion, Eddie realises with a sigh, both parts scared and excited to see what tonight holds. They finish cleaning up, Steve waving them all up the stairs as he finishes outing the lights downstairs. Eddie walks into Steve's room, standing awkwardly in the middle of it. Shit, he curses in his head. He has no pyjamas with him. With a sigh, he turns to head back out, but is startled still to see Steve leaning against the door with his arms crossed.

"And where do you think you're going?"

Eddie gulps.

"Hey, man. I really appreciate the offer and everything, but I've no pyjamas with me or anything, so I think I'm just going to head ho-."

"No, you're not."

Eddie is interrupted by Steve, who is closing the door behind himself, the lock clicking. Eddie gulps again and fuck, why was he doing that so much lately?! Steve makes his way closer to him and Eddie tries his best to seem unfazed.

"Look, Harrington, I really appreciate the hospitality and shit, but I'd much rather not sleep in a pair of jeans." He says, raising an eyebrow. Steve is so close to him now, just an arms width away.

"You won't be sleeping in those." And fuck, Eddie notes how dark Steve's eyes have turned, looking nothing at all like his warm, golden orbs from earlier. The deep, richness stirs something in Eddie, and, fuck, this is not the time. Eddie goes to answer, he's not even entirely sure what he's going to say, but he knows he has to say something. Just as his mouth opens, Steve reaches him, his hand on Eddie's shoulder as he pushes.
