The months following Ace's death proved to be a difficult time for the Kazansky family.

He had been the bridge between his sister and their father. Evanna had always had a difficult time trying to park up to Iceman's standards. She often forgot that he was her father first and commander second when at home. That didn't mean Ice wasn't hard on his son but again, Ace was the golden boy that could do no wrong.

Ice had been beside himself with grief but in that grief lied the fear of the unknown.

Ace was gone and that bridge crumbled. He and Evanna had bonded over the loss of Ace but the distance had already been created.

He realized his attitude had left him lacking the compassion Maverick had once shown Evanna and Bradley. It was no wonder the duo opted to spend time with him rather than Ice.

Bradley had been an immense help in escaping the darkness.

The Bradshaw had spent countless sleepless nights at the Kazansky household when Evanna would wake up screaming from the nightmares plaguing her sleep. In the morning, Bradley was up early cooking breakfast for the family of two. He too was no stranger to loss; he had lost both his mother and father, not to mention, Maverick. Plague and Ice were all he had left.

Following breakfast, he would set up some Disney movies for Evanna to ease her into a peaceful sleep with her clinging onto him. Bradley stroking her hair, humming along to whichever song was playing in the moment. The two were content lying in silence.

Ice by no means minded the closeness of the two. He knew that there was some unspoken feelings between the two and he couldn't help but think his daughter's heart is in good hands.

Bradley reminded Ice of his father. They had the same flirtatious attitude with the woman they loved. Not to mention, their unwavering loyalty to family.

The youngest Bradshaw had always dedicated time to Ice's children whether it be going over new flight patterns or typical day-to-day activities; their favorite being football on the beach.

Bradley and Evanna still made it a priority to continue their traditions despite their free time becoming severely lacking. TOPGUN training is to commence the following day, to which Rooster spent his time trying to ease Plague back into work and a routine.
