There was never just being friends with Bradley, just like there was never just being friends with Evanna.
The duo complimented each other. It is evident they are two halves of the same soul which ironically is what they denied but now as Bradley lay awake in the crisp morning, did he realize that the woman laying atop his chest had always been the level-headed counterpart as opposed to his impulsive self.
The woman, his woman, is fierce with the attitude of beyond what one could imagine.
Bradley gazed down at her face taking in every little detail. Evidently, Evanna had a scar running through her left eyebrow from when she and James had been wrestling when they were younger. James had gotten the upper hand when wrestling in the living room and sprawled over her, pushing her head down and into the corner of the living room table. Though Evanna did not bat an eyelash when blood came dripping down her face instead, she used James's horror to switch positions and pin him to the floor, winning. Bradley smiled at the memory.
His eyes traced the plains of her face to her slightly crooked nose. Some girl had been persistent in gaining Bradley's attention, which annoyed both of them to no end. The girl had grown jealous of how close Evanna and Bradley had been one day and shoved the Kazansky girl into some lockers causing Evanna to lose all control she had. She had grown tired of the constant belittling so she jabbed her fist into the girl's nose effectively breaking it. They group surrounding had been so surprised, Bradley and James included, that they had not seen the girl's older brother swinging at Evanna until his fist had collided with her nose breaking it. After that, it hadn't taken much time for Bradley and James to jump in and pummel the poor boy. That day the three of them had gotten suspended yet, they were treated with a trip to the movies and pat on the back.
The Bradshaw man's fingers softly grazed the woman's back in soothing strokes, easing her into consciousness. The Kazansky aviator groaned as she nuzzled her face deeper into the Bradshaw's neck. "Evie, we have to leave in an hour," Bradley began to sit up earning a whine for Evanna. "Get dress. I'm making breakfast." Evanna's head lifted from the bed to meet Bradley's eyes before it dropped abruptly causing Rooster to chuckle. She had never been a morning person, at least that much hadn't changed.
Evanna grumbled incoherently into the pillow. She pulled the blankets up and over her body slowly falling back to sleep. Bradley decided to let her sleep a bit longer. He could make breakfast first knowing the smell of food would wake her up.
