Chapter 20

That's it! That's the CHAPTER!!!

Mrs. Jeon organized a dinner like she used to do in the good old times. She wanted to bring some joy to their house, something that she missed with all the mess that Yoobi brought there.

Sangeun is one of the guests. She and Mrs. Jeon know each other from their club, plus her son is the "savior" of their business.

Chaeyoung didn't want to come but since there's Dal and she will have the opportunity to see him she accepted, and Mrs. Jeon is glad that she is there, she planned to tell her something life-turning.

Mrs. Jeon watched and followed Chaeyoung all night, waiting for the right moment to approach her. 

It was risky, and she was afraid of her reaction, but the secrets she was holding were eating her alive, she must throw away the burden she holds in her heart.

"Chaeyoung, can you come with me? I want to tell you something...", Chaeyoung looked at her confused, what does she have to tell her, especially when they aren't close,  only acquaintances, and not the best.

"Mom, I'll go for a minute...", informing Sangeun, Chaeyoung followed Jungkook's mother outside, in the garden of the mansion.

Unknown to them Yoobi followed them, she clenched her jaw sensing what her mother-in-law wants to do. 

Mrs. Jeon didn't know how to start. She was nervous.

"I am so sorry Chaeyoung... I am so guilty towards you...", Chaeyoung frowned, trying to guess what she wants to tell

"If you are referring to what happened years ago, I prefer to not remember this... You wanted me apart of Jungkook and we did break up, you didn't like me and it's normal..., "

"It's not that...", she looked apologizing at her and took her hands 

"Would you look at this, weren't you against her mommy? You used to hate her so much... Even made her break up with your son...", Yoobi appeared to interrupt Mrs. Jeon's confession, why is she still living here when jungkook clearly told her to leave

"Yes... I was a horrible person and I regret everything... That's why I am going to tell her the truth...", now she regrets that she didn't ask Chaeyoung for a private meeting

"Don't you dare say that!", Yoobi shouted with range, 

"What is she talking about?"

"Jungkook, he...", it was harder than she thought

"What about him?", Chaeyoung's curiosity started to build up, why is she taking so long to tell her

"He didn't cheat on you... he didn't sleep with Yoobi that night, she faked it....", with a trembling voice, she let it out, and Chaeyoung pulled her hands from Mrs. Jeon's grip

Yoobi felt like losing her calm, didn't she warn her that she'll take her down with her,  "You nasty woman! If this is what you want, then why don't you say all the truth?"

"I... I...", 

"Now you can't talk, huh?"

Chaeyoung's heartbeat quickened its pace, "There is something more?"

Jungkook was rushing to get home as fast as possible, but first, he decided to stop by a flower shop, especially when he knows that there will be Chaeyoung.

He almost got his flowers but bumped into someone familiar, he can't forget this face. The same man Chaeyoung supposedly cheated with. The same man he saw that dammed day in the hospital. And he wasn't alone... He was with... another man?
