My first and last

Chapter 22

Finally getting the right room Chaeyoung knocked at the door before entering.

"Dad, is that you?"

"No, it's me..."

"Rosie! You came to see me?", he run to her happily

Chaeyoung kneeled and caught him in a tight embrace

"I missed you!"

Now that she knows that Dal is her son, her feelings for him increased. She still can't believe the happenings.

"Well, you always come to my workplace to see me... this time it's me to visit you..."

To her disappointment Dal broke the hug, she already misses his warmth.

Suddenly he become serious, and she looked at him questioningly.

"Rosie...", he made a pause, "Do you love my dad?", Chaeyoung didn't expect this question from him, she was taken aback by it

"Did I upset you?", he asked agitated, "No, I just didn't expect you to ask me that...",

"My dad loves you, I know", Chaeyoung was taken aback once again, "Dal is indeed his father's son, both of them are bold and straight...",

"I can tell..., he looks different at you compared to mom... he never looked at her the way he looks at you... and I know that dad is divorcing my mom, he thinks I am too small to understand, but I am a man!", he sounds so mature, Chaeyoung hates the fact that she lost her time raising him, seeing him developing and becoming the smart boy he is.

"Dal, are you mad at me?", she asked carefully, she doesn't want to lose him, she was ready to hide from him the truth only to be by his side

"No! Rosie, how can I be mad at you, I know that people can fall out of love... it's not your fault that dad loves you... ", she is impressed with how mature he talks and thinks, she's so proud of him.

"Let me tell you a secret... They always think that I don't hear them arguing... but I do, I heard so many things... mom, lost dad because of her fault... don't worry...", then his cheeks become red, and fluttering his lashes at her, he said the most heartwarming words in the world, "I actually... I love you Rosie...", Chaeyoung's eyes become watery, so she hugged him tightly, " I love you too... Very much!", Dal felt so good hearing those words, he felt secure in her arms

All she is wishing now is that instead of Rosie he would call her mom, but can wait as long as he is by her side...

"Now tell me... Do you love my dad too?", he asked as if he was hoping for her to say yes

"Dal, it's time to eat!", Chaeyoung breathed a sigh of relief, she was saved from the answer

"Dad! We were having a very serious conversation here!", Dal protested outraged that they were interrupted,

"Well young man, If you can make Rosie stay for the dinner, you can continue your talk!", Jungkook got on Dal's level and bombed his nose

"Really? Rosie, can you please stay? Please, please, please!", how can she refuse him

"Sure! I'll stay!", it's not like she didn't want to have more time with him

"Yes! Thank you! He hugged them both, then stormed out of his room

Chaeyoung was about to leave the room as well but Jungkook was fast enough to stop her.

"Chae... can we talk later... I think we need to settle some things between us",  she nodded and Jungkook smiled gratefully at her.

Lunch together then turned into dinner. And it would have been very awkward if it wasn't for Dal babbling non-stop and for Jungkook's mother that left for some important things.
