"Dads gonna kill me." AJ finally spoke again as he cuddled up to Hero on the blanket on the floor.

Salvatore looked up at him from the other side of Hero. "He's gonna kill us all."

"Mummy?" Hero asked as she looked up at her brothers.

They nodded.

"Mummys gonna kill us too." AJ mumbled as he sighed. "When they find her anyway."

"I wish mummy was here." Salvatore mumbled as he shivered slightly and pushed himself up against Hero.

"She'd tell us to fight back." AJ mumbled as he looked around, he didn't even have his toy gun, that had been taken from him too.

"With what?" Salvatore asked as he looked around.

The room they were kept in was pretty bare. They had only been given a blanket to share and that was all. AJ shrugged and got up and looked about.

"We could break the window?" AJ suggested as he pointed up to the small pane of glass.

"We only break stuff on accident though?" Salvatore asked, looking up at him.

"Even Uncle Charlie's new suit?" AJ asked as he looked down at him.

Salvatore was silent. That, they had cut up on purpose because they needed something to tie up their toys.

"And Uncle Salvatore's trophy?" AJ asked again.

Salvatore was silent. That, they had broken on purpose, he told them off for painting the house walls with mud.

"And when we broke mummys mirror and blamed daddy?" AJ finally asked.

Salvatore was silent. That, they had also broken on purpose, after she told them off for tipping a bucket over water over everyone from their parents balcony.

"Mummy really got angry at daddy for that..." Salvatore mumbled as he remembered.

"Exactly, we break things on purpose. We can do a small window." AJ spoke with determination as he looked up at the window.

Salvatore got up and walked to his side. "Do you think daddy's ever broken a window?"

AJ shrugged. "Probably, Uncle Billy and Uncle Charlie told me daddy was a badass."

The siblings looked up at the small glass window.

"If daddy can do it," AJ started as he took his brother's hand in his, "so can we."

"Because we're Merrill's?" Salvatore asked as he looked at his older brother.

AJ nodded. "I was named after Uncle Austin and daddy, and you were named after Uncle Salvatore and Uncle Eyeball, can't be too hard?"

Salvatore nodded as they both looked up at the window.

Oceane lay on her side on the bed. Surrounding her were children's clothes and colourful shirts.

The room was silent as she knew Salvatore and Austin were right outside if she needed them.

The night had fallen again as she watched the moonlight fill up the room.

Slowly she sat up and gently picked up one of the small pairs of jeans, feeling something inside the pocket she reached in and pulled it out.

An elastic band ball?

She let it fall to the floor as she got off the bed and walked over to the window.

As she had previously been told, there was always a candle kept on every windowsill, lighter by it's side.
