Chapter 1: Are You Here?

"Are you here?", a voice from the hallways called the occupant in the guests' room. Two knocks can be heard consequently.

The occupant of the room, Heras Barirn, a thirty-three year old man with ash brown short hair and matching eyes, fair skin tainted by a burn scar on his cheek, clean-shaven face, and clad in gray robes and trousers, bounded with a tan belt and dark blue coat and with dark brown boots, had been staying in the palace for three years. A man named Terrcon Nelvor had found him stranded on a remote planet and smuggled him into the royal palace located in the planet of Serenno for his safety.

However, in his time staying in the palace, Heras confined himself to his room in the fear that someone might harm him, following the usurpation of the Ignominies in the organization he was once a member of, and only left the room when needed. He would try to avoid contact with the inhabitants of the palace as much as possible due to the fear that they would betray him eventually.

Heras huddled himself in his bed, fearing to respond to the call of the servant.

"They are not going to hurt you," the servant said.

Heras got up from his bed, rubbed his brown eyes, and brushed his dark blue coat.

"The royal family would like to see you, Heras." the servant said. "The count has been sensing the presence of someone who has been staying in the palace. He wants to know the mysterious person staying in the palace."

Heras reluctantly opened the door and accompanied the servant to the dining room, with his face full of worry, where the royal family was waiting for him.
