The large blue and white wolf spirit angrily growled as it tried to bite off Sokka's head.
"The wolf spirit must've left the spirit world for a good reason! So please, everybody, be respectful!" Aang begged.
"Respectful?!" Sokka said rushing out of the way,"Your spirit just tried to eat my head!"
"Look at the wolfs belly!" I added, rubbing my arms once more. I had never been affected by the sudden change in my body temperature like right now,"It looks like a face,"
"Aang look!" Katara yelled,"That's the face you've been making,"
"Your right,," Aang replied,"I think I get it now!"
Aang approached the spirit as I created a wall of ice between us and the spirit.
"Stop, big giant wolf spirit! Listen to me! I felt your presence earlier, see? Just like the design on your fur! I knew you were near because I'm the Avatar, the great bridge between the spirits and the humans! My friends and I were traveling to the town of Hira'a when one of us decided to go her own way. If we disrupted you, please accept our apologies,"
The spirit paused for a moment before lunging at Aang.
"Your "respectful" tactic doesn't seem to be working!" Zuko yelled.
"Either we do something now or we let it eat us!" I yelled back gathering all the water I possibly could while avoiding another attack from the spirit,"I choose the first option,"
We all threw our attacks in the direction of the giant beast. But it was useless, the ice shattered on impact and boomerang wobbled right off. The wolf even ate Zuko's fire and let out a loud burp as smoke escaped its nose.
"Did that wolf spirit,, Just eat my fire?!" Zuko asked confused at what just happened.
"And burped!" Sokka exclaimed,"It ate your fire and burped at you!"
"He also damaged boomerang," I said pointing at the dented boomerang now laying close to me on the ground.
Sokka let out a loud whine, rushing over to pick boomerang up while Aang continued to try and talk to the spirit. Sometimes I forget how passive Aang truly was when it came to things like this. Just when Aang was going to get attacked again Appa rushed in with Momo at the reins pushing away the wolf spirit.
"All right! Giant spirit animal megabrawl!" Sokka cheered making me sigh.
"Go easy on him buddy! We just want a peaceful passage to Hira'a!" Aang yelled.
However, Appa was definitely doing everything but going easy on the spirit who kept trying to get to us. Once I started to think the situation was calming down I began to shiver, feeling a bit faint. I held my head as an overwhelming sense of fear entered my body. Still shaking in place, I saw the spirit vomit a sea of moth-wasps. I froze in place as fear slowly consumed my entire body. The only thing that could make me panic more then anything in this world, insects. Trying to find the strength in my legs, I slowly backed away until the large moth-wasps made their way to where I was.
"Kya!" Sokka and Zuko called out to me in unison. They knew of my deteriorating phobia of insects. All stemming from a stupid arctic spider when I was a kid. A memory I unfortunately have to relieve right now.
"You are the grossest spirit ever!" Sokka said, wrapping himself over me to cover my eyes and fend off the moth-wasps for the both of us.
I couldn't bring myself to feel bad Sokka was doing the dirty work for the both of us as I practically shook in place. Slowly bringing my hands to cover my ears, the buzzing kept getting louder and louder.
