Chapter 4: Shattered Paradise

Saturday, 5:PM

5 o clock had finally arrived, it was time for Cole to head down to the testing grounds.

"Well, its 5 o clock... I gotta go..." Cole told Sasha, who was laying down on the couch.

When he left, he saw Nightcrawler, who was waiting for him outside his apartment building again. "You ready, bud?" Nightcrawler asked.

Cole nodded in response, and with that, the two headed down to the testing grounds, off to explore another dimension.

It yook a few minutes for them to get to to the tesing grounds. Once they opened the door, they were greated with a team of researchers once again.

"Ah, there you two are!" Joe shouted, "Today, youll be exploring a dimension called: 'Shattered Paradise'"

Well, the name of this dimension already sounded like a awful place to be... Cole and Nightcrawler stayed silent throughout the entire thing.

"Since the last time things didnt go well, its best that you just keep your hood up and dont say anything." Joe said, handing Cole the Dimensional Device.

Cole started to mess with the dial, until he got the dimension called Shattered Paradise. 'Welp, this doesent sound good...' He thought to himself.

Cole shot the Device in front of him, opening a portal to the dimension Joe told him to go to. Since he was nervous, he took Nightcrawlers hand, and jumped into the portal, un knowing of what to expect.

After a few hours, Cole arrived, and syprisingly, everything seemed normal. But there was just one problem. Nightcrawler wasnt beside him.

Cole looked around his surroundings, with no sign of Nightcrawler whatsoever. Now he was starting to panic.

'Ok... calm down... hes probably just somewhere else around here...' Cole thought to himself.

His thoughts were interupted by growling from behind him, he turned around to see a panther, again... 'Shit...' He thought.

The panther lunged for him, but this time, Cole wasnt fast enough to evade it, and got pinned to the ground. It then took Coles knife, and threw it across the room.

Cole looked up at the panther, horrified. He knew that going to another dimension was a horrible idea, he thought this was it. The panther then showed Cole its long, and sharp claws, which it then used to dig into his shoulder.

Cole screamed in pain, but the panther didnt seem to care, it just continued to dig into his shoulders, creating a puddle of blood next to them. This just cause cole to scream even louder.

Eventually, Cole finally got the courage to make his move, he grabbed a nearby glass shard, and stabbed the panther in the face. The panther let go of him, and he took this time to get up, grab his knife, and rum for it.

He didnt look back, he didnt care where he was going, he just wanted to find Nightcrawler and leave.

Cole finally found a place to rest in the cafeteria, when he sat down, he looked at his shoulder. Unfortunately, the panther dug its claws into his already injured one.

The bandage covering the wound was torn off, and Cole lost a lot of blood. He didnt have the energy to get up, either.

A new pool of blood was forming quickly, and Cole knew that if he didnt do something fast, he would bleed to death.
