Chapter 10: I Promise... (Paradise Ends Part 3)

An hour had passed, Cole and Dandelion were sitting fown in the garden, talking to one other. Dandelion kept asking Cole questions sbout human life, and what it was like on the surface.

D: "So youre not the only human out there?"

C: "Nope, in fact, there are about 7 billion more out there."

D: "7 billion?"

C: "Yeah, pretty big number."

D: "Are they all the same?"

C: "Well, no, not at all."

C: "I cant really explain how they are different, because that would take hours, probably."

D: "Well, can you at least tell me one thing?"

C: "Well, uh... I guess each human has a different personality."

D: "Cool..."

Dandelion keoy asking questions, some Cole couldn't even awnser, until theyre conversation was interupted by a knock.

???: "Dandelion? You in there?"

D: "Oh no..."

C: "Whats the matter?"

D: "Cole...?"

C: "Yeah?"

D: "You need to hide, now!"

C: "What?"

D: "Dont ask, just hide!"

Dandelion picked up Cole, and brought him over to a nearby flower bush. She then shoved Cole behind the bushes.

C: "Ow! Stop! What are you-"

D: "Shh!"

(Coles P.O.V)

D: "Uh, Come in!"

I heard the door open, and through it came a hazzy with an axe on its back, and im pretty sure it had a gun.

D: "Uh, hey Red!"

D: "What are you doing here...?"

R: "Im looking for that survivor, and Sprinkles told me you were the last one who saw him."

D: "Well, they just uh, wandered off after we bumped into each other..."

R: "Why did you let them go?!"

D: "They werent doing anything wrong..."

R: "Nothing wrong? Dont you know what those humans did to us?!"

R: "They used us for reasearch, treated us like nothing."

R: "And youre telling me the human didnt do nothing wrong?!"

D: "But..."

R: (Sigh) "Listen, if you see the human again, just let one of us know, okay?"

D: "Okay..."

The hazzy then left, shutting the door behind it, Dandelion then ran over to me, and pulled me out from behind the bushes. I decided to question her about who that guy was.

(Nobodys P.O.V)

C: "Who was that?"

D: "That was Red, he was looking for you..."

C: "Why?"

D: "He hates humans..."

D: "So far, he's killed every last one he saw."

D: "He thinks all humans are bad..." Thats why he kills them..."

C: "Thats kinda racist against humans..."

D: "Anyway, a few Gootrixians confronted him, but he just never listens... he either yells at them, or ignores them until they leave."

C: "So if he finds me, then..."

D: "I dont want you to die, Cole, youre actually a really awesome guy..."

Dandelion looked sad, perhaps something like this happened before, she made friends with a human, and then they were killed by this Red guy.

C: "Am I... the first human youve made friends with?"

D: "No... there were many more, but they were all killed by Red..."

C: "Did you tell him that they were your friends?"

D: "Just like everybody else who questioned him about it, he ignored me or yelled at me..."

Cole started to feel bad, and he was also starting to hate this Red guy alot, even though he didn't know him.

Dandelion looked like she was on the verge of crying. Cole placed a hand on her shoulder.

C: "Listen, I can reassure you that if I ever encounter this guy, ill make it out alive..."

D: "But... every human hes encountered never made it out alive..."

C: "Trust me, Dandelion, I know every tough guys weakness..."

D: "You... do?"

C: "Yes, Dandelion, I do."

C: "Well, I need to head back to the spawn area."

Cole let go of Dandelion's shoulder, and he started to keave the garden, but Dandelion stopped him.

D: "You... promise youll be back here alive...?"

Cole smiled at Dandelion.

C: "I promise."

D: "Well, alright then..."

With that, Cole left the garden, heading back to Abbles shop. He glanced at Dandelion through the window, and gave her a thumbs up before continuing.

This chapter was kinda rushed.
