Chapter 7: Returning to Reality (for a short period of time)

Sunday: 8:PM

After another few hours, Cole had finally arrived back to Lanimax, luckily with Nightcrawler in his arms. He still aldo had that annoying kaiju head on his shoulder.

Cole heard footsteps coming his way, it sounded like the reaserch team heading their way. At first, Cole panicked, not knowing what to do about the kaiju head on his shoulder.

Suddenly, the kaiju head started meling, right nack into Coles shoulder. Eventually, it turned back into the kaiju skin the three Gootrixians used to patch up his wound.

The reaserch team opened the door to the testing grounds and saw Cole, standing there with Nightcrawler still in his arms. They immediately ran over to Nightcrawler to check if he was okay.

After checking, they told Cole that he was free to go back to his apartment. They took Nightcrawler from him, and brought him to the garden so he could sleep.

Cole immediately left after they let him go, he didnt want the kaiju head to peek out of curiosity. After a couple hours, Cole finally made it back to his apartment.

In there was Sasha, who was currently napping on the couch. Although Cole wanted to watch tv, he decided to make some noodles instead.

Cole headed to the kitchen to get started, and thats when the kaiju head finally reformed on Coles shoulder.

K: "Are the humans gone?"

C: "Yes they are, you can come out now."

K: "What are you doing?"

C: "Im making some food."

The kaiju head stayed silent after that.

Cole finally finished making his noodles, and went to the kitchen table to eat them, but thats when he heard Sasha, yawning in the other room. It looks like she woke up from her nap.

C: "Shit!"

K: "Dont worry, I can just go back into your shoulder."

C: "Oh yeah..."

The kaiju head sunk back into Coles shoulder, just as Sasha turned the corner as well.

"Cole, your back!" Sasha shouted, runnijg over to Cole, she gave him a huge hug, Cole just giggled. "Yeah... I didnt expect to be back so late..."

S: "Well, how was the dimension you visited?"

C: "You were right! That dimension wasnt so bad after all."

S: "I told you it wasnt gonna be bad!"

C: "Yeah... well, can you please leave me alone? Im trying to eat my noodles."

S: "Alright, but straight to bed after that, you have more testing to do in the morning."

C: "Stop saying that like your my mom..."

Sasha giggled, and playfully punched Cole in the shoulder. She then left to go do who knows what. Cole went back to eating his noodles.

After he was finished, he put his bowl in the sink and headed for bed.

Heading into the bedroom, he looked inside a nearby drawer, and took out a bottle full of melatonin, since Cole is sleep deprived, he takes one every night to help him sleep.

After taking one, he opened the door to the bedroom, already feeling tired from the melatonin. He immediately jumped into the middle of the bed.

The kaiju head reformed back onto his shoulder, and started to talk with him.

K: "Going to bed so early?"

C: "Yeah, Ive got more testing to do in the morning."

K: "You mean go to another dimension?"

C: "Yeah... to be honest, I dont really know why I even mess with that thing anynore."

C: "Maybe its because of the suspense on whats waiting for you in the next dimension."

K: "Well, you better get some sleep, looks like youve gotta big day ahead of you."

With that, Cole went to one side of the bed, and fell asleep.
